Here we go again...

Okay, so the latest is....I have not spoken with the "wedding specialist" at the hotel in a week. The deposit was made by his aunt last week and I have already sent him the choices for the menu. I have not heard anything. Yes I have been calling him insanely. The only thing I asked of him was to prepare a somewhat close to final bill so I know where we stand pricewise. Have I gotten that? Nope. I had to harass someone else yesterday (because he was off) for the directions and accomodation info so that I can finish printing my invites and get them outta here this week. Now that I am down to printing labels, this dude sends me an email today saying that he is still working on the menu and to keep in mind that 20 persons minimum need to order the Prime Rib (we selected that as one of the meats).   FI says he has until Friday to get it together or else we will just go away somewhere...     Stay tuned.

    Kimmy, be on his behind. Do not let up. Its your money. Like fi said, he has until a deadline to get it together, or else bye-bye.

    I forgot to add that after that email that I responded with a nice nasty email stating that though I understand he's "been busy with other events, its imperative the I speak with him before 4:30 today."He called at 4pm just as I was trying to sneak out of work early. By the end of the convo...he will send me a close to estimated bill tomorrow.Now why did it have to come to this. I am trying my best not to get stressed out over this. It's only for 30 people...geesh.

    Kimmy, FI sounds like he has it right. I hate unprofessional people, especially when they are getting so much of my money. Do what feels right to you. If he is this ghetto now, how will he be for your wedding, I'd hate to find out.

    After I spoke with him, about 2 hours later I get an email from him including the estimated bill. Everything checks out so far, just have to make some changes and possibly add more people. I simply told him that since he's stated that he's been doing this for 20 years that I basically have to trust his judgement because I'm in another state. I also told him to be happy that wasn't there because he wouldn't like it.So I'm stepping out on faith and sending out my invitations this week.
