I love it. However, I'm sure that worse sculptures existed. Romans were freaks.Probably, but this one is kinda my favorite. Always fun to get in a bit of interspecies erotica.The other day I was reading about the Colosseum, and I read about one execution where they forced a lady to have sex with a donkey, and then both the lady and the donkey were fed to a panther. Even the donkey got executed! Those Romans don't cut corners. This passage in the text was helpfully illustrated with a lamp that had a picture of lady/donkey sex.

I wrote my undergraduate thesis on Catherine the Great. She was also an interesting character. I always love the Apollo and Daphne statue where she is turning into a tree.

Well, I threw the "possibly" in there because it technically does not involve human sex, and also because since it's from a Roman villa and all, it could be considered educational :)One of my friends wrote her paper on this sculpture last year for our Roman sculpture seminar.
