Tell me about your AHR invites.

My question is: How far in advance are you sending out your AHR invitations?? I want to give people plenty of time to plan, but I don't want to send them out inappropriately early.

I am mailing ours out when we leave for the wedding. We leave on January 5 and the AHR is February 28. It is a little early to send them, but I know by the time we get back it will be the last second to mail them 6 weeks in advance.

AHR #1 is May 15th ~ mailing out invites in April right before we leave for the cuise ~ maybe the day before... AHR #2 is June 19th ~ mailing out invites in the 2nd week of May perhaps right before our 1st AHR.

I'm hoping to mail mine on the day of the wedding so they can be postmarked on our wedding day from Savannah. Let's see if that ends up happening, though. lol I'd say they'll go out about 5 weeks prior to the AHR.

Since we planned poorly, and planned our AHR for a week and a half after we return, we will be sending them out super early because we will need to make all plans before we leave. Ours is May 29th and we will be sending them out Feb 1.

I plan on mailing mines out the week after we return. The party will be probably the month after, so I figure 3-4 weeks is enough notification for a casual party.

I'm mailing mine out the week before we leave for Aruba and the AHR date is Jan 30th, 2010. So it's like a couple months in advance.
