I sent in the deposit for the cake today! We're using Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott in Portland, and the tasting was sooo yummy! We didn't actually do a tasting anywhere else, which I'm kind of bummed about, because I wanted to eat more cake :)Still haven't made a final decision on what it should look like, except it will be 3 tiered with mocha frosting. Can't decide if we want to do a more nature look with leaves and vines, or go with flowers. Anyone have thoughts? I've got pics of potentials in my (brand new) bio!

    Ooh, a new bio to look at! I love your hair ideas. But, to get to what you asked about, I like the nature/vines look. I think it would go nicely with everything else you've picked out.

    Your bio is awesome. You and your FI are so adorable! I also love all your hair ideas (I did something similar) and your dress is gorgeous. I like it as a halter. :)As for your cake, Danieleandwayne had a cake that looks very similar to what you're looking for and it was awesome!! I love the nature look a lot. My cake was very fall themed with leaves and acorns, but I loved it so so so much! I really need to make a married bio here soon so people can see what I'm talking about.

I like the nature-y cake too, since we're having the wedding at a fairly rustic ski lodge surrounded by mountains and lakes! And all our tables will be named after mountains/lakes/rivers in Maine with some kind of significance to us, so I think it would fit with that.
