Unfortunately there was a family emergency.  I'm SLIGHTLY freaked out, but the cast is being incredibly supportive!

Hey! Would the Ben Mayer from your facebook be Cassie Mayer's husband? I met him last Friday night at the football game. He was really nice.

I got the fanciest wedding invitation in the mail the other day, and my husband isn't going to be able to go with me. I'm crossing my fingers that my brother is going to figure out a way to go. I'm not going to miss the wedding either way, but I really want a date because it's totally going to be the most upscale wedding I've ever attended. (and yes, I have spoken to the bride and she suggested that I find a replacement date)

Allison - I'm not from Nashville, but I'd be happy to send a postcard from here if you think she'd want one.

I'm really enjoying this season of the Hills. Not so much Kristen Cavalleri, but that fact that Spencer Pratt randomly wears a Cowboy hat in episodes. It really makes for some fabulous Tuesday entertainment.

It really makes for some fabulous Tuesday entertainment. Yay! Somebody else likes the Hills. It makes me happy. I really like the show and I know its fake but it entertains me! Also the City is getting good this year. I didnt get into last season but this season...I am actually interested!! I just couldnt believe what Spencer did to their neighbor. But who leaves their kid with somebody they just met?

I really started liking Spencer last season, especially when he started calling out Heidi on her crazy. He is a douche bag, but at least he's funny. Yeah, like the City too. Although, sometimes I'd like to punch Whitney in the face and tell to get a spine. And if I saw Olivia on the street I'd punch her too. It's all ridiculous, but both of those shows are my guilty, mind-numbing, pleasure. :)

LOL Yeah Spencer is funny! But he gets on my last nerve. Somehow I still keep watching. Although I kind of miss Lauren on the show. I used to like to see her reactions to Heidi. Olivia makes me want to b!tch slap her because she is so cocky and annoying. And I used to really like Whitney and always thinks she is innocent but she never speaks up or says much which gets on my nerves. ahhh the pleasure of the Hills.......LOL

I really wish I hadn't discovered the bliss that is cake balls. I just ate my first chocolate-cake-with-cream-cheese-icing-covered-in-chocolate cake ball and it was way better than the red velvet ones I made two weeks ago. I can't wait to experiment with the strawberry cake balls tonight.

I'm starting to get really nervous about our house.  I love it and all-but I'm worried we're not ready for all the added responsibilities and costs of owning our home.

Mariah, I was feeling that way right before closing and Joe is feeling like that now. Its going to take some sacrifice on both our parts, but we know its so worth it! We won't be moving in until the end of this month, because we want to paint and make it "ours," we did stay there this past weekend though and it is such a great feeling to wake up at home!

A random thought...When I met Lauren from The Hills I was so disappointed. She was rude and did not seem very easy going. It almost made me want to be on Team Heidi but than she has baggage....Spencer. Ok enough with reality TV stars...back to schedule.

Mariah, it'll be alright.  Just remember, not everything has to be done right away.  Some updates (or furniture) can wait.

Mariah, don't worry, it will work out. Don't feel like you have to do everything all at once. I bought my place when I was single and lived on my own and have spent the past 8 years fixing it up, painting (I never want to see another gallon of paint for a long time), etc. Where was my fiance when I was doing all this??? I wish I had known him then, lol. He is going to be moving into my place when we get married because it just makes sense. Basically, if I can do it, you and your husband can definitely do it. Being a homeowner can be a pain sometimes, but it is so worth it.
