AHHH! Cake Vendor!?! Any suggestions?

ok, so I am a consumer report junkie and I love referrals! So I thought this would be the best place to get some names for my wedding cake!

I have already checked with Cakes by Kathy and she is not available on my day

Any more suggestions? Thanks yall!!!!!!

Cakes by Kathy was not available on our date as well. She suggested her daughter Kayla Knight. She uses the same recipe. We did our cake testing last week and the cake was delish! She's a newer vendor so her pricing is great. http://www.kaylaknightcakes.com/

Michelle's Patisserie is fantastic. Many, many knotties use her and I have heard nothing but fabulous reviews!

I did a tasting with Michelle's Patisserie and was not impressed by their customer service or cakes. That being said, I also did tastings with Torte Bella and Matty Cakes; both of them were AMAZING, but we ended up going with Matty Cakes because of his amazing design ideas... he just brought it to a whole new level. we are going with classic cakes by lori {she's in dripping springs}. i got a referral for her and i loved their cakes.....my FI doesnt usually care for sweets and he loves both my cake and his {which he is getting a motorcycle cake lol} but they are the sweetest people. they even had individual cakes for our 4 little ones to taste too !!! 512.829.4831 HTH

We did a tasting with Krissy's Cakes in Pflugerville--very moist, rich cakes. Also seemed v. open to design options. www.krissyscakes.com

I had also heard good things about Michelle's Patisserie and found their customer service (for the tasting, at least) totally normal and pleasant and fine. Their cake was also tasty, but maybe a little less memorable than Krissy's?

Their pricing was similar.

I used Torte Bella and it's the best tasting lemon cake I ever had! I am SO glad I went with them!

Matty is also great... he was our second choice.

I actually emailed them about that, it's been down for a few weeks. Apparently they are re-designing it. Don't be discouraged though... they are AMAZING. Here's Matty's email address: matty@mattycakesaustin.com

i am a big fan of cake so it was really important to me to find something delicious. i decided to go with sugar mamas. they have a wonderful cupcake shop in south austin but do cakes for events and weddings and the quality and flavors are amazing. i know it will be a hit. i can't wait to get to share them with my guests!

Like ejayne, we used Torte Bella also and could not have been happier. The cakes were the best thing I've ever tasted (seriously, my guests RAVED about it), both of them looked absolutely beautiful, and they were extremely affordable and easy to work with. I thought they tasted the best out of all the places we tried (which was a LOT!) and they also cost less than half of what some of the others we tried quoted us. Oh, and I ate leftover for a week
