Okay, so FI and I are starting to look for places to live if he gets offered a job with Dallas PD.If we live in S. Ft. Worth and FI is at the police academy, which we believe is on the "outskirts" of downtown Dallas, how far a commute would that be IN TRAFFIC during rush hour?Thanks!

    Minimum of an hour each way...but possibly longer

    Unless one of you plans on working in Ft. Worth, I would consider looking elsewhere. I used to commute from West Arlington(closer than Ft. Worth) to Dallas and I got completely burned out on that drive after 2 months.

    45 minutes to the academy on a normal day... unless there is a wreck

    Fr Worth to Dallas is not a commute I would ever set out and plan to do on purpose. I would look at a close in Dallas suburb instead of Ft Worth.

    I commute from North Fort Worth to North Dallas everyday. You're looking at minimum of an hour each way. Most days, it takes me 1.5+ to get home. I do not recommend it!
