  Sounds great! Maybe ask him if her wants to do it? If he's outgoing, it should be no problem, and he'll be walking with you anyway.

  I think it is fine for older kids but at 5 I'm not sure how much he gets it. I would have a slight thats wierd vibe for a kid who is that young although if he was a teenager I woudl not find it odd. Basically 5 is still too young for me Why not have him as your honor attendant and walk in by yourself.

  I plan on having my son walk me down the aisle for my 2nd wedding in July. Although he will be 18 by then. I think a younger child would be ok, but be prepared for him to have "stage fright" when he sees all the guests and have someome to hand him off to that he trusts.

  If my MOTHER can walk me down the aisle, your son could certaintly walk you down the aisle. Btw- I think it would look cute!

  Of course. I think it would be CUTE, and very touching. I have a 4 year old, (will be 5 at wedding) IF my dad wasn't around, or if this wasn't my 1st wedding I'd definately let Jayden walk me down. He wants to hold the rings though haha! He's set on that

  I was thinking about having my 5 year old son walk me down the aisle and mentioned it to a few people.  General consensus was "That is symbolic of 'giving you away' and your 5 year old son is too young to do that....he still needs you."I hadn't thought of it that way since I viewed him as simply an "escort" but I can see that perspective as well and have decided I'll walk in on my own.Just offering another viewpoint.
