I give up on this catering thing *rant*

I've been stressing for months about finding a caterer... I can't find anything appealing and affordable. Our only prospect just booked up our date, and she was even a question mark for me. I even had my first bridezilla moment. Of course my fiance has little interest in planning this wedding, so tonight I called him up and said if he wanted to eat at his wedding then he will have to turn off the TV and find a caterer himself! And I feel terrible because he has been working so hard at 2 jobs to save for a house. This topic has gotten me on the verge of tears more times than I want to admit.

What type of food are you looking for? What places have you tried?

We tried Sissy's catering in Azle, Catering by Terry in Roanoke, Sweet Memories in Keller, and Cupcakes to Caviar, and several other places I can't remember off the top of my head.I don't know what kind of food we want... Originally we thought about fajitas but his family won't be happy eating something that doesn't require silverware!

BTW we are trying to feed 100 people for under $1800 total, that's including all the taxes and tips and everything. So if any of you DFW brides found that possible I would love some reccomendations!

Have you tried Black eyed Peas? I have yet to actually give them a call but other brides have used them and say they are fairly inexpensive and Heather is great to work with. Also, CN catering has been suggested on the board as pretty inexpensive catering. I am trying to work within that same budget for 100 people but I haven't got to the catering part just yet. I am sure there are a couple more that other brides can suggest but those are the ones that are on the top of my list to check out.

Someone on here came up with the pizza hut pastas idea.  Comes with breadsticks.  You could go to sams and get veggies and salad.Carino's has catering for about $11-13 dollars per person also.  I looked into them, but we are going with On the Border I think.HTH!

Try Blue Mesa- not 100% sure if its within your budget but it was the most reasonable we found.

Thank you ladies! I thought restaurants would be more expensive than that. I'll have to look into it.

I know Spaghetti Warehouse is very budget friendly. Also Uncle Julios isn't too bad either.A friend of mine is using Spoons a McKinney restaurant to cater a reception for her parents anniversary and she was surprised how affordable it was. I've eaten there before and their food is GREAT.Another one we talked to that seemd to be open to budgets is Eddie Deens.Just be honest and tell them what your budget is and see what they can suggest.

We went with Spaghetti Warehouse in Plano.  The managers are great to work with and the prices are very budget friendly.

We are doing Itallian food and we went with CRO catering. With Tax and tip for 105 people it's right at $1500. Talk to Dawne Falcone when you call. Www.caterdallas.com

We were in Rockfish yesterday for my mom's birthday and they do catering too.  If you're not a fish person, I'm sure they could do something up to help you.  Also, Maggiano's caters.
