Special Touches???

What special touches are you having at your wedding and reception? You know...those cute little things that probably don't cost a lot but leave a big impression? We've got the main details set for our wedding, but I'm needing some cute touches.

I'm really excited about the rhinestone buckles on my centerpieces.  Silly, I know.  But for $87 it totally transformed my centerpieces and I know it will be sooo beautiful!

I think all we have right now is the bridal party wearing chuck taylors.  Our colors are orange, gray, and cream - so they can choose from those how they want them to look.  I'm totally going orange!

Not sure if this counts but I'm spraying my leaves for the wish tree with pearlized spray. And have vases for the BM to put their bouquets in on their table.I am also "allowing" the GM to wear fedora (sp?) hats to the reception (the gangster hats lol) I think I'm nuts!

Gold pumpkins. We bought different size mini pumpkins and spray painted them gold and ordered the white pumpkins called Boo pumpkins. The wedding is pretty formal but I also want to have fun since it is on Halloween so I have a candy bar that will have fake skulls. gravestones, webbing, etc.

Jewels on my cake, the slide show of us from birth to now, anniversary dance for my sister and her hubby since they let us get married on "their day", having my real dad walk me down the isle but my mom and step dad meet me at the end to assist in giving me away.

We are putting our parents' and grandparents' wedding pictures in silver frames and displaying them (probably near the guest book) with rose petals, votives, and the throw bouquet.  We wanted to do something since his grandparents have been married for 65 years and mine for 58.  We are thinking of adding some wedding pics of our grandparents that have passed as well.

It's not much, but my sister knows a woman who owns a chocolate shop in Corpus Christi. She put 4 chocolates in a small box and we put those boxes in each guest room at the B&B to say "thank you" to our family members.  The chocolates were DELICIOUS and her friend actually sent us a box on our anniversary of my favorite "pina colada" flavored chocolates.  It's so cool she even remembered that was my favorite.

I am doing a few things-Texas themed welcome baskets in the hotel rooms,  crystal frames of black/white pics of the bridal party and myself and the groomsmen and FI on the cocktail tables, our monogram in spotlight on dancefloor, super cute bathroom basket in the women's bathroom, candy buffet, photobooth,  wedding pics of our parents somewhere because they are both still married....I am very excited!

My brother in law made and hand routered our table numbers out of wood just like a picture I saw- it was amazing and so special. My sis and mom made 500 italian cookies as favors and I made a little thank you label with our mongram to go on them. We had signature drinks and I made a bar menu sign with them and our monogram. My family all made a collage with photos of me from a kid on up and with pics of me and DH and our invitation in the middle- it was a great surprise.
