Save-the-Date etiquette

Should parents of the bride/groom and bridal party members receive save-the-date cards?  What's the etiquette?  They should receive formal invitations, right?

Every single person who is invited to the wedding receives a formal invitation, whether or not they received a save the date. But yes, parents and bridal party members absolutely get save the dates.  Don't you think your parents would be sad if they didn't get one as a keepsake?

Okay.  Now, do you write "and Guest" on the save-the-date address labels?  I know you do on the formal invitations, but I don't know about the s-t-ds.  I'm thinking you should so that the person being invited knows ahead of time to tell their guest to reserve the date.

No "and guest" for STDs.  Save that for the formal invitation.
