Second Hand Wedding Dresses

I was wondering if there were any suggestions on where to shop for these?I know the Goodwill on Cary St normally has one wedding dress... and that's it. I was hoping to find some second hand store that had several to look at instead of just one. I've kept an eye out at all the goodwills but the other ones seem to carry none or lower quality wedding dresses than the Goodwill in Carytown.

    I'm not sure if this is helpful or not because it seems like you may want to look at the dresses in person and I'm not sure what your price range is or what you're looking for, but have you tried oncewed.com?

    The best place to look is probably going to be craigslist. There arn't any stores in this area with used wedding gowns exclusively- although I think there might be one in the Hampton Roads area if you are up for a day trip.

    There is a place in Newport News called Blush that specializes in this. I  have never been there but have heard good things from Knotties on the VA board.  There is another place out in lynchburg called Church Street Bridal that sells new dresses that are donated by designers and bridal shops in the area.  I believe their prices are in the $300-$800 range.  They only accept cash though, so if you are going make sure you bring $.  I believe all proceeds are used to support a domestic violence program, but if you google the store there is more info out there. Bygones in Carytown sells very old style vintage gowns if that is something you are into.  Most of them have high necks and long sleeves.  They are in the very back of the store.  THe only other second hand place I know of is in Maryland.  I can't remember the name but I did actually drive up there to check out dresses when I was in that area for other reasons.  They selection was not bad but the dresses were very expensive.  Good Luck!

    Silk in Virginia Beach is a bridal consignment boutique with FABULOUS gowns and accessories. I looked there when shopping for my gown and they had beautiful ones in various price ranges. Aside from having designer gowns on consignment for way less than they cost new, they also had designer veils, tiaras, etc. If you're looking for beautiful second hand wedding dresses for a fraction of the retail cost, I would definitely make the trip down there. While in that area, you can check out Blush, which is also a bridal consignment boutique located in Newport News. This store is larger than Silk and has more inventory of gowns and accessories. I hope that you find what you're looking for!
