    From what I hear, all the Riu Palaces are wonderful.

    Hey Kathy:One of Sim's best friends stayed at El Dorado Maroma said it was AMAZING!  We even considered it for our honeymoon but decided we wanted to go to St Lucia instead.  If you want to chat with him I am sure Sim could give you his number!

    My search came down to El Dorado Royale and Excellence Playa Mujeres. I was told that EDR is huge and gets to be confusing and crowded. We went with Excellence. Not exactly in Riviera Maya but still beautiful.

    Don't know them, but I HIGHLY recommend Palace Resorts.  We stayed at the Adventura Spa Palace and loved it.  There are a couple of others in the area.
