When you are little you would always say..."When I grow up I wanna be....."What did you want to be "when you grew up?" Did it actually come true or pretty close to it?
i wanted to be a lot of things... (ive included reasons why none of them worked out)-work at sea world w/ shamu (but then my mom told me how cold the water was)-be a school bus driver (i had never even been on a bus when i told my mom i wanted to be a bus driver)-be a meteorologist (too much math and science) - be a vet (medical school and putting animals down)-be a teacher (this was actually my major but after working at a daycare i realized that i dont like kids very much)- be an actress (i met w/ a talent agent but he wanted me to pay tons of money to take acting classes...i think im a natural and i could have done it w/ out classes...but i gave up on that dream)None of my dreams ever came true lol. Im going to school to be a paralegal & I work at a law firm right now.
I wanted to be a doctor... now I'm working towards law school and work for a malpractice firm lol... its not exactlly what I had in mind when I was 8 when I thought "doctor"
I feel like I still say...when I grow up.... :-)When I was younger I wanted to be a archeologist, entertainment reporter, a nurse for babies. I am no where near that. So sad.
For a while I wanted to be a teacher. Until I got older and realized I have no patience for other people's rowdy kids and they did away with corporal punishment at most schools. hahah ;-) Nowhere close to it... went into a business school and never looked back.
a Pastry Chef! I wanted to be one soo badly. I am not one now but I do plan to continue with that dream in the future. I love love baking and me and MIL often talk about opening a bakery and or restaurant.Currently I am an Insurance Agent and I don't think anyone grows up wishing they could sell insurance lol.

i wanted to be a vet or a scientist of some kind (like botanist, geologist, etc). that didn't happen b/c all the bio/chem classes in college are geared for pre-med not earth sciences so i got pretty discouraged from it.i went to school for environmental science and politics so i think it's pretty close .. but we'll see when i get a job!
nch: what is your specialty?? Making me hungry for some pastries!I wanted to be Shamu's trainer too! But I didn't think I could deal with holding my breathe that long like Shamu and I didn't want to smell like fish. Gotta love the way how we thought as children. :-)
i'm looking at a bunch of things .. either environmental advocacy like at a nonprofit (think sierra club) or environmental policy or legal/paralegal stuff (like at the city or at a law firm).
STB: my dad told me that Shamu pees in that water. lol And my mom told me that Id have to get a marine biology degree...which sounded hard, so i gave up. I went to sea world like 2 yrs ago and i asked the sea lion trainer if you had to go to college. He told me that most ppl. only have their HS diploma, and that a few some ppl have BA's in like animal psychology or something. I wanna say that the sea lion trainer had a business degree. Weird!
I wanted to be a teacher or a vet. I really should have been a vet they make a killing! It is funny I asked my 6 yr old niece this question on Saturday and she said work at Toys R Us.
oh boy I can make it all pretty much. My fav thing to make is cupcakes. of all shapes and variations! also I love things that you wouldn't normally eat but just look at like you know the challenges and stuff on food network. Right now I am working on a gingerbread haunted house and it looks so awesome. I want to get more into cakes also. Since I was like 9 I told everyone I need a kitchaide mixer but have yet to get one.

I wanted to be a singer and I took lessons and went to college to pursue a degree in voice. While there, I changed majors to business and eventually completed my MBA and now work in insurance/reinsurance....SNORE! Like a pp said, I don't think anyone grows up dreaming that some day they will work in insurance!!!If I had to do it all over again, I would have obtained a degree in something I am passionate about and then pursued a career in that. For me now, that is health and fitness.
When i was really little - i wanted to be an interior designer. That never would've worked. i NEED an interior designer. hahaThen i wanted to be an actress. I got a scholarship but hated the classes so bad. i just wanted to act and build sets, so i dropped the scholarship, started law school, and kept acting...for one semester. i did not fit in with the law classes and felt awkward so i dropped it.Then did graphic design and loved it, til i fell in love with the photography end of it. and i currently work in purchasing and LOVE it. so no - nothing even close.
Ok, so when I was seven, my dad passed away. My mom took me to counseling, and on the day of my last session, I told my mom I wanted to be a counselor so that I could help people how that lady helped me. Wise beyond my years I guess. LOL. I did get a psych degree, and had planned on getting my MSW adn play therapy license, and havent made it there yet. I started working at CPS and never left. I do plan on getting there one day though!
I wanted to be a vet, then my cat died and I was crushed so I decided that was the end of that dreamOn my first trip to Disney World I said I wanted to work there, I have no idea why...and oddly enough I did end up working there after collegeNow I work in Marketing, but definitely want to do something way more creative
I used to want to be a doctor and model! I used to model when I was young, but now I stayed short! Too bad Tyra did not have her show for short models when I was single in my early 20s. Now I am a married 30 year old hag! I am a mastered degreed nurse so I guess I work a lot with docs!! (hehe)
I wanted to be an OB/GYN (yes, at 10 years old).now I'm studying to be a labor and delivery nurse. I may get a women's health nurse practitioner degree later.pretty dang close.
I wanted to be a teacher since as long as I can remember and I am graduating in December to be a teacher. I am student teaching right now with a class of rowdy first graders.
Originally I wanted to be an olympic ice skater. I skated for a long time but gave it up for dance. Then I wanted to be a dance teacher. Now I'm getting my degree in early childhood education and going the teaching route. I think I will end up teaching dance as well as elementary school.
A teacher, nurse, aminal doctor now I am in vet school and some days I am glad I am here and then there are days like today when teacher sounds great! and now when I grow up, all I want to be is a mom.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.
