Can we have confessions thursday early?

It is supposed to be "confessions thursday" right? I just thought of something to complain about that I hate when people do.:o)

Better yet, it should be titled... "Things I wish knotties wouldn't do"

no, not you...well, not this time at least. Not sure if you've done it before. I hate the posts that are like this: Title of post is a knotties name, so "Chelsea"and then in the post is nothing but "YGM"I mean seriously...it's 2009, people check they're email constantly, there is no need to make one single post just to tell someone "YGM".vent over....who else wants to play?

I hate when people complain just to complain. That would be me! I have too much good stuff in my life and need a reality check.

Btw, what does YGM, BB, and AW mean?  I've always meant to ask, but didn't know if those questions sounded stupid.

Oh I meant bb as someone calling another person a bb.  Was that short for baby?  Sorry for my silly questions. PS I hate when people complain about stupid stuff.  I could mention one thing but I don't want to offend the person.  It was the one that DD-ed the other day.

Here's mine: I almost cancelled my TTD pics because everyone on the knot was making fun of them...then i realized how stupid that would have been, and now I am so happy i did them, because my pictures are awesome (if i do say so myself!)
  • edited December 2011
Mye, I'm glad you didn't cancel them. I love them. They are so cool and will look so cool framed in the house....much cooler than typical portrait style wedding pics.

Maybe this is a terrible confession to make and maybe I am insensitive (I know you ladies will tell me) but I hate when people post a "whoa is me post" like my cat died or so and so is sick.  I def for sure always post an "I am sorry to hear that post" but I cant help but think that the knottie just posted it to get 95 people to say they are sorry for them.  We are sorry for you.  I promise we are, and so is anyone else you will tell. Let the flaming commence.

Danes - I agree to a certain extent, if its the knottie or direct family member, like FI or DH, parents, children, fine go ahead post. but when its the mother friends neighboor, um no, i dont care!

No flaming from me danes...i agree but I do think sometimes this is a good place to just say what is on your mind when you need to get it off your chest.  I just pretend that is why those posts exist.
  • edited December 2011
Danes - I think i depends on who you are speaking about and who you are speaking to.  I personally don't like a lot of attention on me, so i don't post that stuff.Recently I have been having some issues with my grandmother's health and some of the girls were offering advice on how to handle the situation.  I think that is a different case, even though I also got some "I'm sorry for you" type of responses as well (and appreciated every one of them).BTW- That was not meant at all snarky or was not flaming you. I was just contributing to the topic.

I agree with you Chelsea -- I hate that.  The even worse version was back in the day when there were a bunch of knotties-turned-vendors (particularly DOCs I think?) who would use the board to conduct a lot of their business... so the pages were along the lines of "I just dropped your programs off at the church!"  That's really how you conduct your business?  It seemed unprofessional, and irrelevant to the rest of us, but it annoyed me because it was probably a subtle way to try to remind us that they were in business.I also find it a little weird when knotties who never post anymore pop up to recommend their vendors every time they're mentioned.  You really lurk waiting to jump in if anyone asks a question about Alexa from the Glam Fairy?  That seems odd.  Does she give you free makeup services for that or something?

(that was just an example, by the way ... it isn't limited to that particular vendor)

actually, it was drama Thursdays! lolAs for beebee, I haven't been on as much lately, but still wouldn't hesitate to call someone out on their BS if I saw it. Then again, I just tend to go into ignore mode a lot.
