Boudoir

Hi!  I'm a lurker, but since I've found reviews on these boards incredibly helpful I figured I'd return the favor.  I recently had a boudoir shoot with Chelsea McGowan of McGowan Images.  I found her through reviews others have posted on this board, and I'm so thankful to those of you who mentioned her!  The shoot was so much fun!  Chelsea is very nice and created a comfortable atmosphere (which is necessary in my opinion for these kinds of shoots!).  I'm very pleased with the pictures that I've seen so far.  And, judging from her website and blog, I know that I'll be happy with the rest of them. So, if you're considering a boudoir shoot in the Dallas area, definitely check out her website.  Her prices are very reasonable, and she really is talented! And please forgive the length of this review!  Its my first official vendor review since my wedding hasn't occurred yet.

What does she charge? Did you rent a hotel room or do them in your home? I want to do them for our first anniversary next year so I'm just trying to get ideas. Thanks!

Lindsay- I haven't done boudoir (yet), but according to her website her boudoir starts at $300.   It includes a disc of all digital negatives and 20 retouched shots.I'd definitely contact her for more details when your ready.

I paid $300 for the shoot.  That includes 20-30 edited photos in an album and a disc with all of the originals.  I'm pretty sure she'll shoot anywhere.  In my case, I rented a hotel room because I was coming in from Shreveport.  Plus, I wanted a cool location.  She has some boudoir photos taken outside as well as in a girl's home in her portfolio.
