DJs/Lighting - James Daniel vs CT Party Pros

We are looking to book a DJ and lighting company for our wedding and am looking for some reviews. I've seen some positive things on here about James Daniel DJs, but I haven't seen anything about their lighting services. Has anyone used them and/or seen their work? We are looking to light our reception, which is in the tented space at the Hilton in Stamford. I want the room to glow - all one color. We have also been looking at CT Party Pros. I've seen some notes on here that they've had negative reviews, but I haven't been able to see why. They are also more expensive for lighting, so I'm just trying to understand what they do or don't do differently/better etc. Thanks for your help!!!

I used Shindig Lighting out of Fairfield for my uplighting.  Dan (the owner) was awesome to work with and we were able to negotiate a good price.

I don't have experience with either of these but I did want to note that there is a difference between CT Party Pros and "The Pros" The Pros is a national company I believe, and they do get many negative reviews because you never know which DJ/photographer you are going to get the day of, it may be different from the person they initially booked you with. They also tend to serve as a booking agency so some more inexperienced DJs/photogs can go through them and end up doing your wedding. But some girls have had good luck with them. But CT Party Pros is a different company. I had almost met with them but they were out of my price range.

I used Correlations Productions (www.corrpros.com) for out lighting.  They did an amazing job and definitely helped to make our day amazing.  They do DJ services as well.  Would highly recommend them.

I've never heard anything about those guys either but Powerstation Events is my DJ and lighting (and everything else) and I've gone to a wedding they have done it the lights that were all around the room were great. The one i was at they changed colors gradually throughout the night but i'm sure if they can do that they can stay one color too!

My future sister in -law is booking Powerstation Events for both lights & DJ and I think they gave her a break on pricing because she booked both with them. Lights are so cool and really add to an event- but then again I am a huge fan of lights.... I keep little white lights on an indoor tree year round :) Good Luck !

I have seen nothing but bad reviews about power station and I have seen Corr production in action at my friends wedding and he was horrible. I dont know anything about The Pros but have heard there name. I have never even heard of James Daniel. Although I have heard great things and great reviews on here about Dot The I's Events in Newington. Call them for a quote. I think it is www.dottheisevents.com

I have actually booked Jason from CT party pros. He has been good so far. He has been easy to reach, returns my phone calls, and met us half way when we requested to meet him. Corr Pros was impossible to get a hold of. I must have called and emailed him 10 times. Sorry I cannot be of more help in giving you an idea on Jason's work.
