Weather in Tahiti in Nov, Dec or Jan?

Has anyone traveled to Tahiti around November, December or January time frame?  We're currently looking for the best vacation package deal and most of these deals apply between 11/01/09 - 12/15/09 or 1/1/2010 - 3/01/2010.  So I'm just curious what weather is like around those months? It should be a summer season there because its in the southern hemisphere but I just dont want to rain or cloudy when I get there. Please advice. Thanks!ps. Any hotel recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm not sure about the weather during those times, I heard it's the rainy season, but it might be ok too...sorry not much help as far as weather..Which islands are you planning on visiting? Just Tahiti? Or Tahiti/Moorea/Bora Bora?We are going next May and will be staying at the Intercontinental Tahiti, Sofitel Moorea, and Intercontinental Thalasso Bora Bora.

    Wow, we almost have the same itinerary except we're staying at the Four Seasons in Bora Bora :-)  Yeah I just read this article on tripadvisor.com (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g311415-s208/Bora-Bora:French-Polynesia:Weather.And.When.To.Go.html)  that most of their rainfall is during their summer months of November through January.  Oh well we still have the rest of the month to decide if not, we'll scout Hilton Maldives :-)

    Sounds awesome! The Maldives also sounds great :) I think you can't go wrong either way!You might want to post @ the Honeymoon board also maybe there are others who have been there during those times?

    I've been to Tahiti in December. It did rain a bit, but only one day was there a real downpour. Personally, if I had to stay inside all day for one day on my honeymoon, it wouldn't be the end of the world. :)Loved the Pearl Beach Bora Bora, and Pearl Beach Manihi. Allyson

    We went to Moorea and Bora Bora for our HM In November last year.  Weather was awesome!  It rained for about a a day but besides that it was perfect!  We stayed at Pearl in Moorea and IC Thalasso in Bora Bora.
