I have a feeling that today is gonna be quiet. The judge who won't marry interracial couples is seriously pissing me off. My mom is white and my dad is black and they have been married for 25 years. And I know a ton of other couples who have been married for a long time also. I don't think that it is the judge's decision on whether or not a couple should marry unless it's against the law and that is not against the law.

tnickel - I totally agree, a judge has NO place in deciding that. He is payed with our taxes to do his job...which is, at least in this case, to marry people. If they can get a marriage license, then they can be married.

Yeah, and I love how he claims he's not "racist" and has tons of black friends, he just doesn't want to put a child through the "hardship" that comes with being a mixed race. WTF, dude?Also, that family with the balloon thing is really scary, I fear for those children's safety. When the little boy started throwing up on television, and his dad just looked at him and then kept talking...I mean, your child is obviously sick and shouldn't keep doing these shows, what is wrong with you?

Haha! I totally understand where they are coming from don't get me wrong. I struggled with this decision for a few months before I decided to go the traditional route. The point is, I chose to do it this way, just like they did. I actually really don't have all that much to do believe it or not.

Marissa - Congrats! Although I will raise my fist in Stephen Colbert-esque rage at Ohio and its medical practices because one of my best friends, the only one who had a chance of moving to Texas, decided to preference Ohio for her residency instead of Texas. It sounds like Columbus has good medical and non-medical opportunities - she also liked it because her boyfriend had good options for jobs and recently got an offer.

Woo-hoo Marissa! Congrats to Jay... Julie, I feel the same way about basketball. I can pretty much watch any college team, but can't get into NBA. I'll go to a game, but won't get nearly as in to it as I would NCAA.

I think it's okay to get mad at an animal when they misbehave but to get pissed at them when they get sick is really kind of mean. It's not like they did it on purpose and it's not like they can do anything about it. Just sayin'.

Seriously? I think we all know BalletBride doesn't get along with her husband's cats. Not worth making such a fuss over. There are thousands (or millions) of people in this country who "hate" cats. Get over it.

aaaaaaand, BalletBride is not one to make waves for no reason. I have no doubt that those cats are a pain.My husband's cat throws up like 3 times a week. The vet says he's fine and it's perfectly normal, but cat vomit is not my favorite thing, and it doesn't make me happy to clean it up. Cats are just nastier than dogs-- except that my dogs LOVE to eat cat poop, which one-ups the nastiness...
