I really thought about doing that too.  Instead I'm renting a sedan that rents out by the hr. that I found online.  The cheapest I found so far is $65 p/hr. which is a bit more expensive than a cab but a lot less expensive than a limo or a sedan rented out by the limo company that your forced to rent for a minimum of 3 hrs. for hundreds of dollars.

We aren't doing a limo since the host hotel is across the street from the ceremony/reception.

I wasn't going to do a limo either because ceremony was right across the street but fam (dad) cried about you got to have it, sohe put forth the money. I am glad that I had it. I used it as a shuttle to get everyone across the street.

My ceremony and reception are in the same location and I have a bridal suite across so me and my dad are going to walk w/parasol or something if it is inclement weather I am taking a cab too! I have the idea and the pics will be AMAZING!

No ma'am, you're not weird! I actually plan to borrow grandma's cars -- a diamond white '07 GMC Envoy and pearl Cadillac CTS--for the day. She's not driving them anywhere.Another idea: rent a car. Someone said they were quoted at $65/hr... for $65 you could rent a something nice and spacious (or FUN and FAST) for the whole day.

Thanks Aquarius. Pinkpanther, thanks for the advice. I like that idea but not sure if i want to bother finding a driver or worry about parking in Center city Philadelphia....

We are renting a corvette for the weekend. Its actually cheaper than a limo because we are using points to get it.   So no, like the pp said - nothing wrong, weird, whatever. Fam. will get over it once they see the hot pictures! HTH

hey tiffani, that's what we are doing except it's a 2010 Camaro instead of a corvette. I really didn't want to do the limo thing because the camaro is a car both FI and me really want to drive and possibly own one day. If it looks like Bumblebee, that's even better. :)

For real I was going to have my brother drive me in his car. He owns a very nice Lincoln MK. the reason being was because the limo prices were ridiculous and to rent a car has become a like signing over your life almost. But we were lucky to find a limo service in our area with some awesome prices so we decided to go ahead with that and allow my brother to enjoy my day fully without playing chauffeur.
