Bridesmaid Jewelry

I need bridesmaid jewelry help! I've been looking online for a long time and I just can't find what I want. I have 8 BM and 1 jrBM. I need to find something that is cheap but doesn't look cheap. Have any of you had good luck with this?! What would be a good site to order from?! I'm looking for a necklace and earring set. I know it might be a little early to be looking into this but I like to get a head start on things, and it seems like I can always get a good answer from this! Thanks in advance! :)

Re: Bridesmaid Jewelry

  • Just let them wear their own, especially if it's a budget issue. No one really cares what their jewelry looks like anyway.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I would ask them if they already have something suitable to wear. That way, if they do, you can save your money (or maybe put it toward a more personal, non-wedding-related gift for them). The bride is not obligated to purchase the BMs' jewelry. And the jewelry shouldn't be their only gift anyway, since it's something for the bride's wedding. IMO there's no use in getting them cheap jewelry that they'll probably wear only once. I would think that most women have something that'd work, or can borrow something from a friend/sister, or would willingly go pick out something inexpensive on their own (because at least then they are sure to get a style they will like and rewear). If you all agree that you buying the jewelry is the way to go, though, I've seen some nice sets at Macy's in the $20 range. Also try overstock.com, Kohl's, department stores and Claire's/Icing.

  • My way was cheap: I told them to wear whatever they wanted. Free!
  • Got my stuff here and was very pleased with it:  http://www.greatdaybridal.com You can always also go to Macy's or Kohl's if you have them in your area and Macy's always has coupons of some sort.  Sometimes it's nice to see things in person.  I think I heard that Walmart has a wedding jewelry section too but I bought my stuff online so don't have any recommendations on the quality of their stuff. Hope that helps -
  • If you really want to get them a set, annabellagio.com has them starting at $24.  Their jewelry is really nice at a reasonable price - I got all of my BM jewelry and my earrings from there as well.
  • I got my bridesmaids each a bracelet from Target...they were $10 each ( I thought that was pretty good)   They are beautiful...I will try to get pictures up soon.
  • I think it's very nice to buy people jewelry, and I love receiving it. So, whether or not you're giving it to them to wear on your wedding day, or as a gift, here are my suggestions: I love looking at the jewelry at World Market, or other worldly stores, they're often very pretty and unique. Or someplace like WhiteHouse blackmarket, or Banana republic, Sam Moon, or just some local boutiques.
  • Thank you so much everybody! I really would like to buy each of them the same set as a gift. My sister did for her wedding and I loved the idea. (my sister only had 3 BM so she could spend way more than I can!) thanks again!

  • My mother-in-law and I made the bridesmaids, me, and the flower girls necklaces, and we're going to make everyone earrings as well. We were able to get all of the beads at 50% at Joann when they went on sale. They are beautiful...they completely exceeded my expectations (thanks to FMIL), but I guess you have to know a little about how to make jewelry...

  • Thats a really good idea! My cousin did that for her wedding. I considered doing that also but like you said you need to know a little about how to make it. Was it very expensive all together?!
