So Stressed... (Vent.. Kinda Long)

FI is getting on my darn nerves! Okay, lemme give yall a little background. We're actually already married because he is going into the Navy and I was not about to be separated from him by 8 hrs so we went to the courthouse on Oct. 6th and got married.. Now, I would have been perfectly happy with my courthouse wedding and having a small little family reception, nothing major. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he wants a wedding. He wants his whole family there. But HE doesn't wanna help! I'm like 8.5 months away from the wedding date and I am so overwhelmed. I need to send save the dates (mostly for his family's sake since they're going to have to travel from Buffalo, NY to Florida), but I can't get him to sit down for 30 minutes to put together his half of the damn guest list. Ugh.. Ima kick him! Whew.. lol.. i think i feel better now that i've gotten that out..

    I know EXACTLY how you feel...We did the same thing...Small Ceremony in April and having the BIG Celebration in July. B/C Hubby and I compete @ everything...We made it a game..Lol. Whoever got their friends/ family list first got an outfit...It actually worked and h won...He was on that list everydayThey honestly do not know half of the things Wedding Palnning involves...they just want to Celebrate

    Yeah.. I know that it's a "man thing" but ugh.. it just irritates me because most of the stuff that im trying to get accomplished this month is for his family's sake. Because my wedding is 4th of july weekend, the sooner they make travel arrangements, the better off they'll be. My family is already in florida lol.. I'm trying to not go all bridezilla on him but he's working on my last nerve.

    I know exactly how you feel.  FI and I have this argument at least once a month.  He won't do a damn thing.  The only thing he cares about is the food and the entertainment.  He is a slack azz with the guest list too.  And so I asked his mom to compile a list, and I told him whoever gets the list to me first is the one that I'm sending invitations to.  So that means that if the only people represented on his side are all of the people that his mom goes to church with, then that's whose coming.  I haven't sent out save the dates either and my wedding is a month before yours.  They say 6-8 months, so I guess I better get going!

    I agree with others that is just men!!lol FI took soooo long to get his addresses together b4 we sent tout the save the dates. When we started getting the addresses he was on it but he droped the ball after that and u know what I sent them out without all his addresses!! His aunt (our coordinator) was like "was it just our family" Yupe....cause yall dragging your feet!!! Girl they r still giving me addresses and the STD's went out 2 weeks ago!!! SO stay on him and do what u have to do!!! Thank God they r just the STD's and not the invites!!

    LOL. I know how you feel. I just got my FI to give me his list and we are 6 months away from our wedding date

    I thought I was the only one! I was beginning to think maybe he had cold feet or something, the way he was taking his time to do stuff I asked him to do. I try to make him realize that even though our wedding is in May, there are alot of things that need to be done. Even the little things. If we wait to long, we may spend more trying to get whatever is left in a hurry. I am trying to be patient, but sometimes..........anyway, I hope everything turns out well for everyone! Let's TRY to stay cool......and make them pay for it later (after the wedding) LOL!!!
