Wedding Dress in color?

I am absolutely in LOVE with the Jenny Yoo Mira dress. I haven't tried it on, but I think about it at least 3 times a day. It is $850 and I just don't think it's possible for me to spend $350 bucks over my dress budget, then also pay for alterations. Jenny has the exact dress in her bridesmaid collection, but it only comes in colors. They have a very faint green. I just don't know if I would love looking at my wedding pictures 10 years later and seeing me in a very light green instead of ivory like I originally wanted. Very pretty dress! I think this one is for you to decide. I know I would not be happy in a dress that wasn't ivory or white - but if you love it THAT much and its cool for you. I say spend the extra 350.... but I'm not very practical these days. I just went and ordered a bridemaids dress i LOVE to wear to our rehearsal dinner (not even totally sure we're having one)

It was GASP, 300 dollars - I've never spent that much on a dress and I don't reeeeaaaally have the extra money to spend. But I figure - I only get to do it once, and I can wear it again out to dinner on our honeymoon. Let us know what you decide!

It's not a complicated dress, and if you love the design, you might be able to find a seamstress to replicate it for you! Good luck!

Holly,First off try the thing on. That's what I keep telling myself with the DB Galina dress I love. Then if you're really happy with how it looks on you, see if you can find it for cheaper (and yeah I defo think this is one of the times when you can call upon the services of an overseas Asian manufacturer to make it, esp since the fabrics are so simple), and if you can't or aren't comfortable with the pre-owned options etc, scrimp and save if you want and can. As for your MOH, I was just griping with a friend how planning a wedding is one giant exercise in patience and self-control!Let us know what you think when you try it on!*m*

I would def try it on before you make any decisions. Also, I agree with Gina, I'm sure you can find something similar in your budget. When you are at the bridal salon, ask your consultant to let you try on this dress along with other similar dresses. If anything I'm sure you can find a similar silouette as a BM dress in another line that comes in white or ivory. Good Luck!
