IMO...CD's are kinda dated. I think an i-pod playlist printed out on a card that looked like an i-pod would be a cute substitute though. Just an idea....Another idea for a more vintage music vibe would be to buy old 45's on e-bay and then put your own sticker on them commemorating your wedding. Something different.Cicy

I think u can still do them, Ms Jones did them when she got married. No it is not original but r candy buffets anymore or anything else for that matter!!lol I like the ipod playlist idea (that's original) but a good love cd is always nice!!! IMO

I used CD and everyone liked it, and I know b/c my ppl don't tell you things just to be nice. The I-pod play-list is originally but a lot of ppl have mp3s and not I-pods. I used songs that were played for special moments at the wedding and other love songs and a lot of guest said they had their night time fun at home with the CD playing while I was on my HM.

Even though most people probably listen to an ipod now I think they still use the CD players in their car, at least I do, so I would like getting it as a favor.

I don't think they're played out... I'm giving them as favors for my wedding in April...We're even doing photo inserts using engagement shots. We are also giving votive candles along with the CD's to set the mode...

I don't think they are played out either. I'm giving them as favors for my wedding along with a cookie & milk bar.

I don't think they are played out. Most guest will take them, but in general are they going to want to listen to a cd of songs that you have assembled? I think that is more of a personal thing.

Depends on you. We're doing CD favors. Our CD's look like 45's and we are selecting old school love songs to put on them..kinda of got a theme going.

My guest love them are they are still listening to the music. My mom can't get passed the second song because that is the one that I walked in on and she cries. We did a double disc and had our pictures on it. It is a gift that they are going to actual use and keep. For real, mp3s are original but they come from CDs media. You take the cd and download it to your Ipod or mp3s. It all works the same.

I think they will be fine and honestly, outside of the knot, no one at your wedding will be thinking about dated favors or if it has been done a million times. Nine times out of 10 the brides are only concerned about that. I think it's an awesome idea. How many times have you attended a live event and loved the music but could never find the songs when you got home because you didn't know the names?
