Florist and Day of Beauty Recommendations

Hello brides! I hope everyone's planning is going really great! My fiance and I are getting married on May 29, 2010 here in Grand Rapids, but we are relatively new here and I am having trouble finding some good resources. We have a lot planned already, but as I am sure you know, there is alot more to do! We are also on a pretty tight budget because we are paying for everything ourselves. I am looking for florist with very reasonable prices, so if anyone has any good reccomendations, I would really appreciate it!!! Also, I am looking for hair and make-up services for the day of the wedding. It doesn't matter to me if we have to go to the salon or if they come to us. I would really appreciate any and all recommendations you can give me!!! Your help will be much appreciated! Thanks so much and good luck with your planning:)!!!

    I would highly recommend our florist - Elements of Elegance (http://www.elementofelegance.com/).  Dee works out of her house, so her prices are VERY reasonable and she is so awesome to work with!  A full review of her is in my bio.Unfortunately I can't help with a hair rec for the day of, since I had my usual stylist travel to GR for our wedding.  However, for makeup I would highly recommend Lindsey Smith.  (http://www.lindseysmithmakeup.com/).  She was awesome!  A full review is in my bio as well!

    There are some really good ones out there Recommendations Modern Day Petunias in Rockford Js Fresh flower Elements of Elegance I'm sure there are others as well good luck As for hair there is a place called hair topia they do great work

    We used J's Fresh Flower Market.  The experience was amazing!!!  We had sooo many compliments on our flowers.  Alos, as an added bonus, the assembly party was a lot of fun, and, it REALLY broke up the few days before the wedding resulting in a little less stress for me!!!!

    I've decided to go with J's fresh flower mkt. They are located on the north side of Grandrapids on Plainfield. The bridal consultant is really nice and has a ton of great money saving ideas. I know my flowers are going to be beautifull and I am not paying more than I should just because it is a wedding. www.jsfreshflower.com is the website. You can also choose to do some of the flowers yourself to save some money. What a great idea! there are tables to work at right in the store. I just cant get over how great of an idea that is and what a good way to save on labor costs. I'm going to take one of the wedding design classes so I learn how to make the flowers. I cant wait!
