losing weight is not an option

This morning I subscribed to Dan Ho's "high low" dress code. It's where u pair something low end (jeans) with somethig high end (nice shirt and stilletos). Well when I got out of the car this morning, my low end - low rise jeans- showed some of my low end - lower back. My high end shirt had come up a bit as I got out of the car. The guy that was parked next to me said "Damn girl. A tattoo right thur a be fi-ya." Now I know this happens to everybody, shirt coming up/pants coming down when getting out the car, but I chose to chalk it up to needing to trim some inches off these hips and it made me say "Losing weight is not an option." Anyone care to share their "losing weight is not an option" moments?

I just don't wear low rise jeans.  Never got into the trend b/c, while my hips are not to big, my behind is, and I'd be showing all sorts of stuff no matter the weight.  I just say "low rise jeans are not an option."  LOL.  GL!

hmmm, let's see - well i guess my "losing weight is not an option" moment came when I looked at a picture of me & DH that we took in Dec'08...and my face was on SWOLL (as in big, large, huge)...so I decided then that come my b-day I would do something about it... here's the pic that made me cry (seriously) - mind you I was a size 14 in this pic:

And Cat I was about ready to bust you in the head when I saw your garbage bag status, that was after I laughed.. You better get back on it!! you were doing good.
  • edited December 2011
yeah u cute girl. Hell...I'd do you! LOL! But really Alf...u have been putting in major work and it's showing. You look great. I'm so jealous in a healthy way! The other day, P told me to send him a pic. Gimme a sec. I'mma show you what i sent him. I despise pics now b/c of my face 'sittin on swoll'. Yet another reason 'losing weight is not an option.'

And I meant to tell yall I dont have anymore eye candy at the gym aka *will..man since I got the haircut ive been trying to perserve this mofo...combing it all kind of crazy ways up while I work out, so now i do cardio in the cinema room and weights in the womens room so no one can see me, lmao

thank ladysun!...I am trying but it is a constant struggle...LOL! and Cat - you know you were one of my inspirations to do better (along with LadySun, Rhodesign, HisWife) so you gotta get back to it cuz you were on a roll girlie!!!

Just keep your goal in mind and stick with it! mine is going to one of Beyonce's video shoots, we are dancing together in black shiny spandex...yall remember what I told you I do when im the only one in the cardio area  CTFU!!
  • edited December 2011
LMAO - how can we forget?! That was some of the funniest ish I'd ever seen. My goal is gonna have to be looking good in the D.R. It's not till the end of July so I've still got time to get right. My goal is 50. After the first 25, P will buy me a Kindle. After the 2nd 25 it's my call. I'll probably want a spa weekend or something. I've got all kinds of motivation, but it's hell to keep on track. My will is just zero...until I get called fatty by the man parked next to me!

oh yeah baby, you gots to get right for DR!!   Do you eat cereal? Well a few weeks ago, I bought about 90 boxes of bran cereal, just bran flakes nothing fancy. So I bought a box to work, etc. so in the morning Ill have a bowl with my soy milk and I might have another bowl for lunch with a hell of alot of water, also yogurt in between, then for dinner I had maybe a piece of chicken/veggies.  In anycase that with the cardio I lost about 8 lbs in about 2 weeks.  The thing with bran/fiber is it keeps you full and with that the calorie count is low, I was eating way less than 2,000 a day but I wasnt starving.  Try it.

first off - STOP IT Ladysun!!! -- girl that visual of you in the cardio room kills me everytime...LMBAO!!!...but I do like your motivation of dancing with BeYAWNsay (don't tell romeys_bride I said that...LOL!)...can someone please tell me why trying to keep a do (i.e. - hairstyle) and working out DOES NOT MIX!!...I am just about ready to wear a wig cuz this wrap is killing me softly after I workout. Cat - oh girl, you trying to get pregnant losing up to 50 lbs to get to the D.R. with P...LOL! so what's a "kindle"??...

Mannnn! FI told me today that I'm looking chunky. I gave him the instant side eye! He quickly said that he's been gaining weight too from my homecooking and it means we're "happy"....Which made me think of that comericial where the lady talks about being "fat and happy". ::hangs head in shame:: Losing weight is not an option, it is soon to be reality.

Pause for a moment of silence - I would not trade this board for ANYTHING (besides a 50lb instant weight loss!) Between Lady getting on her BeYAWNce on the treadmil and Alf's wrap killing her softly...*SMH* It is HELL trynna keep a do! I've tried errthang under the sun to keep a tight do while working out. The wrapping of the hair during the workout and taking it down afterwards does nothing for me. My hair gets WET, and even after sitting under the dryer it comes down dull and lifeless. My stylist told me b/c the sweat/salt is drying. I'd have to pretty much wash and condition all over again. I feel you Alf! Wig central is bout to be my next stop.

Alf - a kindle is to books like an Ipod is to CDs. You can buy books on this computer like device and that's that. Alot of students go for them b/c it shuts down the backpack with all the books....but you don't have your paper notes. But for me, it would be ultra cool, cuz you will always catch me with my nose in a book. Check it out on Amazon.

Yes, Pearls. I'm so tired of hearing that fat and happy crap. You can tell by our smiles that we're happy. No need for the poundage to tell the story!
  • edited December 2011
what?!?!...why didn't anyone tell me about kindle before?!?!...man I feel like you've just enlightened me with the best insider info a person could get regarding books cuz you know I love to read too...ok I'm about to go research it as it seems as though it's something I should be into...LOL!

My moment came when I realized I could no longer polish my toes...my breasts and one roll of blubber were stopping me from reaching them.  It's over!  Time for a change.

OOh, ya'll are killing me!! Cilia, my daughter likes to bounce her head in my stomach because "It's so bubbly!" Cat, I can barely buckle my boots either. Mind you, I used to have those extra skinny chicken legs that I couldn't even wear tight fitting boots. Look at me now!! (sad face) YasJas, I've gained about 28 lbs in the last yr. I'd want to keep it if I could get it out of my bubbly stomach & my fat face. I already have a big head!! LOL

I have had my moment twice in the same week. First, I was walking through Wal-Mart and my shirt snapped up my belly and I did not feel the breeze. Then, my son run up to me and started punching it and then did a body flop on my stomache.  He was having a ball.
