Hi Everyone,I rarely have posted on the board since I usually don't have access to the internet during the day. But I always enjoyed reading the vendor reviews when I was planning my big day, so I wanted to share my experiences. Here goes...The Rehearsal Dinner: Texas Land and Cattle on LemmonFood was good and we had about 75 people in their back private room. My in-laws took care of the planning but from what I heard they were reasonable and easy to work with. The Ceremony: Royal Lane Baptist ChurchThis is a really beautiful church that hosts lots of weddings. They were one of the few churches that I looked at that you could use your own minister which was important to me. They also did not require counseling through the church. They have a large center aisle and beautiful organ at the front of the church. Included in the price is an organist and day of coordinator for the ceremony.I had a great experience with them. The organist, Danny, was wonderful. I met with him one day and he played me selections for the ceremony since I did not have a great idea of what I wanted and let me pick. My coordinator was wonderful and ran the rehearsal very well and the ceremony went flawlessly. They have a large bridal room to get ready in and a grooms room as well.Photographer: Heather ThorneUnfortunately, Heather is no longer doing weddings so she can concentrate on her main focus, children's photography. Her work is amazing and she is such a sweet person. You can see some of my pics on her blog at
www.heatherthorne.com/blog. Scroll down a ways and look for Sept 30 under Jennifer's bridals.Video: David at VideoOne ProductionsI don't have my video back yet but would like to say that he was very professional. I know a lot of knotties use Adam Kegg but he was booked on my day and this is who Adam recommended to me. Evidently David trained Adam. Premiere Photobooth - PhotoboothThis was one of my favorite vendors. I worked with Preston Lancaster. The company is owned by two brothers. We had a photobooth for 4 hours, with props, during our reception. It was a big hit with our families and friends. They printed out one copy for the guests and we got a CD of all the pics as well. And he just mailed us a tabletop book of the pictures. They also designed us a custom monogram that was on each photostrip.Wedding Cake - Society BakeryWe had cupcakes from Society bakery for our wedding cake. The cupcakes were amazing, lots of compliments. Roshi is very easy to work with and let me change my mind so many times about the cake flavors and design.Reception - The Starlight Room West EndThe food was very good and the location is fun. However, not everything ran as smoothly as I would have liked. Overall, the day was great but a couple of things were not done as we had discussed.Transportation - We used a Rolls from Romantic Remembrances. It was very nice. And they stepped in at the last minute when our other company had their car in the shop. That's all that I can think of. I am sorry but I don't know how to post pictures on here or I would share more.
