Muir Woods

Hi ladies!FI and I started planning a big wedding where we live in NY, but are having second thoughts. We'd love to have a small destination wedding in the bay area, where we spent the first 2 years of our relationship together. We really want a ceremony in Muir Woods! I checked out the website, but there aren't many details. Is anyone else having a ceremony there, or have more info? TIA!

    We live in CT and got married out in Marin. We looked into Muir Woods. You have to get a permit. The website we looked doesn't appear to exist anymore. There were limits at the time on how many people could attend (20 to 30). We were planning on 40 to 50. If you want an alternative, you can try Old Mill Park in Mill Valley. They have an amphitheater behind the library that is really beautiful. That is where we ended up getting married. It was perfect. Truly great photos. If you know someone in Mill Valley, the rental fee is cheaper (resident vs. non-resident).     Thanks so much for the info! We will be about 25 people, max, so I'm really hoping we can make Muir Woods work!!! When I first visited FI in CA, we spent our first day together hiking Muir Woods. It's the perfect place for us to get married!
