Scratch One of My Checks...Opinions Please!

Ladies,Remember earlier today when I shared my checks about the photographer?  Well, something just didn't feel right with that despite the price he was offering...I couldn't find this photographer on the internet, nothing.  So I decided to go back to the drawing board instead.  I asked one of my sorors who was also married in Dallas about the photographer she used, C. Wilson Photography, so I emailed him instead.  His assistant emailed me right back with some prices.  And they are CHEAPER than the $1300 I found the first time with this iffy guy photographer:Package #1 Photography of wedding ceremony & reception(Limit 4 hours) CD only(200 images) Price: $425 Deposit: $107 Package #2 Photography of wedding ceremony, reception & bridal photo session. 200 - 4x6 5 - 5x7 4 - 8x10 11x14 CD Price: $750 Deposit: $188 Package #3 1 Photographer Photography for Wedding & Reception Bridal & Engagement Photo shoot Mini Photo Album 200 4x6 7 5x7 6 8x10 11x14 CD/DVD of photos taken Price: $1,000 Deposit: $250 Package #4 2 Photographers Photography for Wedding & Reception Bridal & Engagement Photo shoot Mini Photo Album 200 4x6 7 5x7 6 8x10 2 11x14 16x20 CD/DVD of photos taken Price: $1,250 Deposit: $313I am SO glad I followed my first mind and shopped around more.  Here's his website for you ladies to check out:  www.cwilsonphotography.com .  Go to the Portfolio section and then the wedding part (to see my soror's wedding, click "Smith/Dixon Wedding").  I really liked the artistic aspect of the photos myself.  I'm still going to post on the DFW board to get more feedback if I can.  Overall what do you ladies think?

Thanks all--I posted this (excluding the prices) on the DFW Board and I got two personal opinions about him as well as some other places to check out.  I didn't think I was gonna be this picky about a photographer, LOL but then again, this is MY day and I want great memories, so I can't just let anybody do it.

What do I think?  Well, I think that once I moved across state lines and found the cheapest moving company that I could.  Crazy cheap (similar to the new photography prices that you found).  Well, fast forward two and a half months and I am still sleeping on the floor b/c my furniture (or work clothes for my new job never showed up) and I kept calling and calling and getting the runaround and then called the police).  Turns out the company had a total of one moving truck, hardly any drivers and my stuff never left an area within 20 miles of my house!  All that to say, be careful.  Sometimes real low is too low and you might end up getting what you pay for.  I'd hate for the pics to not be right or the photog not be able to afford backup equipment, etc. because of the low prices.  Just check it out reaaaal thoroughly cause the price looks kinda unbelievably low.  Good luck.

Thanks Deidra!  That is definitely something to keep in mind, so I am being really careful not to jump onto something too early without researching it and getting recs.
