Wedding Date Dillema

Hello women!!

My FI & I have been bobbing around dates in mid to late 2014. Originally it was going to be September 20, 2014; however, with him being a farmer that would be during harvest season & definately an out. We have many out of town guests & were considering July 19, 2014. The only debate I have about that date is that it will be the day before my 21st birthday. I don't know wether I see more pros or cons towards that date. Anyone else have dates that close to their birthday's? I look at it this way, it would be the best birthday present ever!

You should wait at least another year before worrying about the date. A lot can change between now and then.

I would not pick a date yet. I would wait unitl it gets at least a year to 18 months closer before worrying about a date. Once you start looking at venues your date might change anyway depending on what dates they have available. Me and my fiancee just picked a month and then were flexible with what weekends the venue had available for that month.

I agree with PP's. It's a little early to be thinking about specific dates soooo early.

But, to answer your question, my wedding will likely be within a week of my Bday. (It COULD be ON my Bday.... but I don't want that, haha) I honestly don't really mind it being so close, since our anniversary is 2 days after my Bday anyway. So I just look at it as an excuse to always do something really fun that time of year to celebrate both occassions!

Well, we're dead set on getting married in 2014. The sooner the better actually; however, I didn't want to be married before I was 21. So which leaves us with, what you would think, anything after July 20. He is a farmer, so harvest season can begin as early as late August. So we're crunched with several dates.
