Invites

So where did you get your invites and how much did they cost?  I am debating one that I love at mygatsby.com. I was going to print it and put it together myself (which made it extremely affordable for such a nice invite) but after purchasing a sample, I realized that my printer did not like the small cards ate them. :(  I am also realizing that I don't have time to do another big DIY.  Ah, I am just rambling. I love the invites but am wondering how much did most of you spend on your invites. It seems high but then again, I know pretty much nothing on what to expect in this arena.  TIAYeah, I finally figured out how to put up a photo, thanks for helping!

I did DIY. I ordered from CardsandPockets.com.  But I like the ones at Michael's.

I think we paid around $80 for our invites but they were half off plus we had to buy RSVP envelopes for about $30- the ones they had were too small for what we are doing.  Got them at Hobby Lobby.

Etsy.  I looked at mygatsby and everything else for hours.  Days.  Weeks.  But I had a certain look that I wanted so when I discovered Etsy, I never looked anywhere else.  I can't remember exactly what mine were but I think $4.50 each--that included printing, assembly, envelopes, return address, address on the RSVP card, etc.  Everything but the stamps.  The cheapest ones I found on Etsy were probably $3.00.  I ended up upgrading my outer envelopes to linen ones from Anchor paper.

Steph that is totally reasonable and cheaper than I am looking at with my gatsby. I will have to check it out. is there a person or section you recommend?

I got mine from Etsy.com as well- I think I spent about $3.50 each on mine, but it wasn't so bad since I didn't send out very many.  The seller I used was viva violet or something similar to that, she was great to work with.

My seller was Elegant Occasions.  I almost went with Glitzy Events.  But there's a ton--just search invitations under Weddings and have a ball.  I also love Heather Collins and Embellished by Tiffany.  Etsy is so great because you're getting custom invitations for a pretty reasonable price.

Hee, I looked at/thought about/designed invitations for hours!  It was such a relief to find Etsy and just say "here, do this."

yeah that would be nice. Maybe I should go that route.  Now why would me adding a photo to my sig make everyone else's text small? this is such a strange site!

I'm also getting mine through Etsy (Sparkle and Sketch) for about $3.75 a piece.  She's probably also going to do my invitations, menu cards, and favor tags.  I'm really lazy on crafts so I'm all about delegating!

i love that i wrote that I have to start looking last night, as opposed to tonight. That's how tired I am from designing mine online last night. It makes me nervous to do something like that. I love the idea of having someone else working on it and have a personal connection.  I am clearly liable to make way too many mistakes!
