Rain on my day

So it's been looking like rain for Saturday all week and I thought I could handle it and it was no big deal but the closer it gets the higher the percentage chance of rain gets and the more upset I get. My dress will be wet, my hair will frizz, and the pics wont be as nice. :( I cant stop thinking about it now and I am soooo sad :(

ok...deep breathe. Everything is going to be gorgeous no matter what the weather. You can't control it so don't let it ruin your day.  The pics will be fabulous, i'm sure your photographer can handle the rain, they will be soo romantic.  Your hairdresser will handle the hair, and prolly put so much hair spray in, it won't be able to frizz. Do you have time to run out and get some white umbrellas maybe or some fun ones to match your colors? That could be really cute and could help keep the rain away from your dress.I know this is easier said then done, but cheer up, alittle rain isn't going to bring down the happiest day of your life :)  Sending weather vibes your way that things work out.

It rained on my friends wedding (I was a BM).  Be prepared with a golf sized umbrella to cover you :)  She still had an amazing day, we had a great time, her pictures turned out awesome, and if her dress did get wet no one could tell! You'll have a really great day, rain or shine!

It rained on my wedding day. It does suck, but you just need to be ready to not let it interfere with your happiness. I am not sure where you are getting married, but start planning how you will move from place to place. Your stylist will take care of your hair and your pictures will be amazing no matter where you take them! We wound up being able to take some shots when the rain let up for a few minutes, but we had an indoor location ready and we almost wished we had just shot indoors. Definitely take your moment to freak out, get angry and upset and then just let it go and move on - you are going to have an amazing day!

It was gray and sprinkled in the morning on the day of my wedding, and then, while we were in the salon, it poured. One main reason for having the wedding in Florida, near the beach, was to have it outside, but I was not going to let it change the best day of our lives. In the end it cleared up and was actually sweltering, but we were prepared with a back up plan. As Riss said, the indoor pics we did do, actually came better in some cases, and I have seen some great shots from photographers using the umbrellas as props. The rain can be very romantic!

I woke up to pouring rain on my wedding day, and my MOH (sleeping next to me) mumbling, "Don't worry, that's not rain!"  We were very lucky in that it was raining all morning, and when we left the hair salon, but by the time we were dressed and leaving for the ceremony it had stopped.  It held off for the ceremony, pictures, and our cocktail hour, and started IMMEDIATELY after we all walked inside for the reception.  So, a rainy forecast does not mean rain every second of the day.  And, to be honest with you, even in the morning, when I wasn't sure if it would stop or not, I don't remember caring much.  I was so happy that day, nothing could bring me down.  Just remember, you only get one day, so don't let something that will be insignificant years, months, weeks, even days later, ruin it!

Thanks so much ladies!! I feel a lil better. Photog says she'll bring lots  of big white umf=brellas and everything will be ok. And you are all right It's the greatest day of my life no matter what the weather. All that matters is that Rafael loves me and I love him, and we have all of our friends and family there to share that with us.

Everything will be ok and you will still have the greatest day ever no matter what! My FSIL had a very rainy day in June for her wedding. A week before when she saw the forecase she wasin tears, but the day of I never saw her smile so much (and she is always happy!). In fact her cleaner said her dress was the cleanest he ever saw and he charged her less for cleaning it. She held if off the ground outside on purpose so it never got dirty at all. Some of the best wedding pics ever are because of rainy weather!

just try to have an indoor location ready should it be pouring. Otherwise, just relax and have fun! You can make beautiful pictures out of anything with love in your eyes and great smiles:)

It poured on our wedding day and I could not have cared less.  I was prepared because they had been predicting it all week but I can honestly say that I was so crazy excited and happy all day from the minute I got up that it didn't phase me at all.  And I am an easily rattled person.  It almost felt special.  My maid of honor has this great picture of me inside the hotel getting ready to leave just laughing as it poured outside.  Our photographer took a picture from her car as we loaded into the van.  Everyone was so great to make sure it didn't effect me at all.  We had a gorgeous indoor ceremony with indoor pics rather than outdoor- I still married the man of my dreams with all my friends and family to celebrate with.  Good luck and remember you controlled everything you could- this one is out of your hands- just roll with it.  :)  Have an amazing day!
