Hi livandrich, I see that you used Aaron Topfer as the DJ for your wedding. I was wondering if you have more info you could send to me about your experience. I really want to find someone who is not going to try too hard to get people on the dance floor (people will be on the dance floor no matter what!), is not cheesy or annoying (don't want games), but has a great selection of music that appeals to different generations (1950's - now). I really want someone with a lot of experience and can go with the vibe of the room, but will also definitely play from our song list. Any info you provide would be great!     Not to butt in but my daughter used Aaron.  She had mixed feeling about him.  He is extremely low key (almost too much so) however, I will say the crowd was not a super dancing crowd.  He is outstanding for the cocktail hour and did a great job with the ceremony.  No cheese no games.  I think she would use someone else if she was planning now but at the same time couldn't give a terrible review.

    hey girl, i will send you a longer email, but we LOVED aaron. DH and i both degrees in musical theatre and music was the most important element. he was phenomenal. however, i have heard these mixed reviews before, and the common thread seems to be that the crowd was not a particularly big dancing crowd. i can see how he would perhaps be too low key in that sense. in our case, our guests literally got on the dance the second they entered the tent...and never left. "dinner" took approximately 15 minutes before the dance floor was taken over by wild people swing dancing. and we extended by an hour, and would have done another if possible!
