Name change question...

So I'm changing my name (haha, it still feels so weird, but cool!), and I'm filling out the SSN form. Now, it asks me to sign my name. Do I sign with my maiden name, or my new name? I followed what I did for the marriage license and certificate, which was to sign with my maiden name. What did you other OMHs do? :) Thanks, girls!

I had the same question so I left it blank and went to the SS office.  I asked when I got there and they told me I didn't even need the form and never took it - oh well.  Anyways, they told me that you would sign your new name.

I went to the SS office when I did mine and I asked her the same question.  You are supposed to sign with your new name.  It was really weird to do that for the first time!

Yes, sign with your new name.  It really is a weird feeling to sign the new name.  I am still trying to get used to typing it when I login to everything at work.  The worst part of the name change process was the bank.  That seemed to take forever!
