I confess that the more and more I think about the actions of my SIL at our wedding, the more and more I do not care for her very much. Eeek. Mean, I know.
I think if you want a tree inside your home, you should have it up as long as you want to no matter what time of the year it is. I just don't like people who leave their lights on outside of the home months into the new year..
Lacey.. I must've missed it.. what did she do?
I confess my house is a huge mess, and I am too lazy to clean it and I hate the idea of getting hired help because I don't like people touching my stuff..
I confess that having Thanksgiving Day to ourselves this year is going to be fantastic. Not to be selfish, but it is a huge relief for everyone to be celebrating on alternate days.
I was checking open table last night and I'm considering making reservations at III Forks, Ruth's Chris, or Lawry's for their Thanksgiving meals. Yum yum.
Because of the drama regarding the venue recs and all that stuff that happened while I was gone on Monday, I really dislike seeing "We love Melody and Memories...they are so great!" comments. When someone wants a rec and they are mentioned I want to say "Run." But apparently I'm the outsider here, with mostly everyone else having a good experience. So I just keep my mouth shut.
DH (I almost typed FH, not sure what that is) and I are supposed to go to Norma's for lunch, but all of the sudden I really really want a taco. Like not even a good one, one from Taco Bell.

Thank you! I really wasn't going to say anything, but I've been to one of their weddings and, well, I wouldn't hire them... I'm crossing my fingers that it was an off day/bad crowd/something. Plus I don't think it was Melody I saw... I think it was the other woman that works with her.

the first year we stayed home, we were both kidn of sad, leading up to it, but we had so much fun cooking and doing whatever we wanted, without all the family politics, that now i LOVE it! we see one side of the family for early thanksgiving and then get the actual day to ourselves. soooo nice!
It wasn't that I wanted it up (not really) but my dad was in the hospital right after Christmas (third time since before Thanksgiving), my mom was in the hospital with her first strokes a few weeks after that and then I was in the hospital myself towards the end of February. By the time we got everything caught up, my mom was having her surgery. It was a real one but the flocking preserved it very well!!!!

I confess that you must have had an isolated experience based on what I've seen... but I also think that giving your feedback on them is helpful to the brides that are shopping around. After all, differences are the spice of life... right!
I confess that I went to M&Ms website when I was planning and was turned off by it. I'm sure they are great but it didn't seem to fit the vibe I wanted for my wedding.
I confess that I seriously consider not taking my tree down every Christmas and just leaving it up all year because it takes so long to put up and take down.
I also confess I have started listening to Christmas music in the car. Just a little. I cannot wait for KVIL to start playing it nonstop.
I confess that I have never RSVPd for a G2G because I think you guys would think I am too old.
Tiffany, my best friend goes to III Forks for Thanksgiving every year and loves it.
I confess I barely notice the passive-agressive comments, the random cryptic messages, most of the vendors, and whoring of vendors. I think I just read things, respond and move on with life. I have to run around to catch up to most things. I prefer it this way.
Confession from my other board: I confess I think we are spending too much on this wedding. I know it's an Indian weddings so between tradition and the amount of people we want it's going to be a huge budget, but I would love to just run off and elope.
I confess that I don't want my FI to take this new job that he is considering because I don't want to move. I really like where we are now and we just signed another year lease.
