Choosing an Oahu Officiant

Hey ladies I need some advice...who do you recommend as an officiant on Oahu?  Kahu Bruce and Alice Inoue are really popular on this board. Is there anyone else you would recommend?  Also how much did you pay/donate for the officiant/minister?  FI and I are going for a non-denominational ceremony and would like to incorporate the lei exchange and possible a blessing-not sure yet.TIA!Ally

    we originally booked Rev. Alice, however, something came up and she was unable to officiate, so she recommended her colleague Cynthia Smoot...she seems really nice, we're meeting with her the weekend after this weekend... So I can update you if you'd like to let you know if we recommend her or not...

    I am having a north shore wedding. I am not sure where yours is but I shopped around and he is the only pastor officiant I could find on the north shore. I also did the same thing that you did and asked around this board. I after the quotes that I got I decided to use... Pastor Ron Valenciana 808-342-3969. He is not charging a deposit or a travel fee, so for us he was the cheapest. He is really nice and repsonse quickly to emails. Hope this helps.

    We went with Kahu Silva of Hawaii Wedding Associates.  He and his wife Sharron wer the sweetest people.  So easy to work with and very helpful in arranging everything.  He has many different ceremony options to choose from.We had a non-denominational ceremony with a lei exchange with eachother and our parents.  It was a beautiful ceremony.  Our guests still talk about how much they enjoyed Kahu Silva's ceremony.  I HIGHLY reccommend Kahu Silva!!http://www.hawaiialohaspirit.com

    I don't know him personally... but my friend who lives in Hawaii knows this couple and recommended their services to me.  The husband, Mark Kurnow, is a pastor.  I started communicating with the wife over email today for wedding planning purposes and she has been super wonderful.http://cherishedinhawaiiweddings.com/photography/Ministers.html

    we really liked rev frank mak.  not sure if his rates have changed in the last few years, can't remember exactly what we paid.  he was great about letting us customize the ceremony.  one of our guests just commented the other day re how much they liked him - and it's been almost 1.5 years :)
