I've been a few times to the one in Toronto. It's kinda fun, but more of a kid thing. If you can, get the front row seats, way better. And be prepared to eat with your fingers.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
It's all in what you make of it. The show is kind of cheesy, and the food is decent, but not great. As long as you go in expecting that it's probably not going to "blow you away", and allow yourself to get into the mood of the place, you'll have a great time.
I went in high school. It is fun. You get to eat with your hands and watch jousting. I mean, you know, it can be a little cheesy at times but in general it's fun.
I thought maybe you were! I'm a little apprehensive about that mall, but I do love that Banana Republic outlet...oh and that giant fishing/hunting store. I do neither of those activities but for some reason I could wander around for hours in there!
Cool! I'm expecting way cheesey so it should be fun. And we have left over wet naps from the reception, so thanks for the heads up on eating with your hands. I'll be sure to pack some.
They provide wet-naps. And crowns. Make sure you wear your crown. If I were going to be home tonight, I would say you could stop by and borrow my Rennfest dress. Then you could REALLY get in the spirit of it
It is kind of fun to ask the serving wench for more mead. And sometimes the knights are kind cute. Annnnd, they hang out in the bar area outside the arena after the show so you can meet them.

I totally agree with Tide - if you get into it, you'll have a blast. I've been to the one in MD, and it's fun. If you go into it not "in the mood" you're going to find it to be cheesy. I love acting like a kid at stuff like that, so I loved it.
I've been twice. Once in middle school and once in high school. Get into it and cheer for your knight and you'll have a blast. Your fingers will get greasy, though.
Well, we all know I'm a huge dork, so it sounds like fun. And Tide sold me on the crown. Then Rayne (sorry if I butchered your name!) with the serving wench and meade. I'm totally geeked to go now.
No worries, I don't post enough for my name to be household knowledge. We went last winter with one of H's coworkes and his GF. Coworker bought a sword at the souvenir stand after the show. That was kinda awesome. It is kinda funny when they start talking about medieval Pepsi.

I have a going away party for a co-worker at 5 and then we're staying the night at my FMIL's house. She drove down to NC to pick up a crib for us from my SIL so we're watching the dogs. You'll have to FB it though. My phone is a camera phone, but I don't pay for MM messages, so I can't receive pics.HAVE FUN
It's a ton of cheesy fun!You get to eat "dragon toes" and things like that. It's a fun time. Just get into it, and you'll have a blast! I haven't been to the one in MD yet, but I'm hoping to drag my FI there soon. I managed to get him to go to RennFest last year, so it shouldn't be too hard. And that mall is huge. But there aren't that many good stores in it.Have fun!
