It went really well. They were super accommodating- they literally said yes to almost everything I asked for. She also had some good ideas. Here's what's new that we decided on.
1. I was trying to find a way to disguise the bar in the ceremony space. We're going to use the venue's pipe and draping to cover it.
2. We're going to have an Indian chai served before the ceremony.
3. She agreed to create a table chart for us now instead of later that will also spell out where the food stations and bars will be
4. Turns out a signature cocktail is included. Who knew? Good surprise!
5. They're going to make our late night snack (mini lobster rolls with potato chips) in take out boxes so that people can bring it home with them if they want.
6. They were still okay with replacing one pasta dish with an Indian dish and even said they would include rice and naan with it.
7. She totally got our idea of having an open, non-structured wedding. I don't want to the flow to stop after the ceremony except the first dance and cake cutting, but she had a great idea of when to do the toast.
Now we have to think of a signature cocktail! On the way home I thought of doing a mai tai- I have a great recipe for it! I'm not sure they'd be willing to get one of the ingredients though... we'll see!
