Calling All Budget Brides, I need your help!!!

My Budget for whole wedding 5k-8k, not to exceed 10k...HELP! My husband and I got married in court this year, and are looking to have a vow renewal ceremony/reception all in one place on the weekend of of our 1 yr anniversary on 7/17/2010 to celebrate with our family and close friends. Anywhere Between Miami, Broward, or before West Palm Beach.*** Also any venues anyone know of that will allow you to get your own Carribean/Haitian Food catering as opposed to what they serve on their menu? Any good Carribean/Haitian Food PROFESSIONAL caterers???

Good for the budget conscious and you have to bring your own vendors:Coral Gables Women's ClubMiami Beach Botanical GardensBecause of the date, you can definitely get the lower price.  It's low season for those two spots.Maybe a restaurant?I can't think of any others right now.

The Rusty Pelican is budget friendly...but they won't let you serve your own food. About how many guests are you expecting?

Is there a preference for day or night?Unless it is a Caribbean/Haitian resturauant, you will want a place that allows you to bring your own food.In addition to what has been said, these are pretty budget friendly spots that you can bring your own catering.Crandon ParkPalmetto Bay Village CenterVenetian Pool (no later than 9-10pm)Pinecrest Gardens (daytime)The Barnacle (daytime)Also check out local community centers/parks, especially ones that have tables/chairs already - they can be VERY affordable.

Definitely look into my Pepe Luzzarga.its my caterer, and  knottie Elinick is using them sunday for her wedding, and she had them customize a Carribbean themed menu for her and her fi jamaican/haitian families. With that potential guest count, you have to severely limit the venue costs, they definitely need to be less than $1000.  I just say that b/c it costs alot to feed people in general.  Buffet style should be a must to reduce the # of staff. You should also buy your own beer/liquor/wine from a place like Costco. Leaving it to just wine and beer is the cheaper than a full bar.  You can also having a signature drink and just buy the components for that.  Keep you receipts and return the unused bottles. Just hire a bartenter from your caterer.

Here is a list of the Broward country parks: http://www.broward.org/parks/fees08.htm#12 The allow been and wine only. I visited several so email me if you have questions on them jenniferl2010 @ hotmail . com I also liked Robbin's Lodge in Davie for a very budget friendly place, but they don't allow any alcohol. Hope that helps, good luck on your search.

Not sure what your "vison"  is for your day, but City of Miramar just built a new multi-plex that is actually nice. I was surprised and it does not feel like a "community center/park" .  It is $950 for residents for Saturdays 5-12am, and they let you come in the night before for a few hrs to decorate and the rehersal. They also have a full kitchen. Of course you would need to plan all the little details. My sweetie and I are paying for the weddings on our own and I am on a very tight budget. I have not found a venue yet, but this place is on the list.
