I decided to add hubby's name on to the end of my name, no hyphen. So I now have 4 names and am using his name as my last name, the others as middle names (So it's like, for example, Jane Marie Baker Smith). The SS office was fine with that. At the BMV, they said they could only put down Jane M. Smith or Jane M Baker-Smith. Neither is my legal name. They said when my license comes up for renewal, they won't be able to give me a renewed license because Jane M. Smith does not match my social security card. They also would not put Jane M. B. Smith. Anyone else run into this problem or have it not be a problem?
