IVORY VS. WHITE (DAVIDS' BRIDAL V9743) PLEASE HELP!

Has anyone worn this dress in their wedding?  I bought it in Ivory and second guessing that maybe I should get it in white.  But I have nothing to compare it too.  I 'm getting married in June in the evening and Im afraid the dress may look a little dark or yellow at the reception in the dim lights.  Does anyone have pictures?????Please help!

  • you bought ivory, i wouldnt drive yourself crazy wondering what if.  you obviously were happy with the color when you tried it on and purchased, why are you worrying?  ivory and white are not that different.  you will not look dark or yellow,
  • All that matters is that it looks good on your skin tone. It won't look dark or yellow. Stop wasting your time and energy worrying about this. There's nothing you can do now anyway.

  • I know I should go with my first instincts.  The dress looks beautiful on and it does match my skin tone.  I will be tanning so will that make a difference?  I have an opportunity to exchange the dress for white.  But once its done its done.
  • I agree with PP. I think that white and ivory are not that different. My dress is ivory and my shoes are white, unless you look really really close you can't tell. I personally wouldnt worry about it.

  • this is my dress and i tried it on in white and ivory, and at DB, the two are so similar that unless i was holding them RIGHT next to each other, you couldn't tell the difference. my wedding is at night with dim lights, and i'm not worried about it. i wouldn't switch it up, because in photos, the white will totally wash out most people.
  • Thank you all for your advice.  I actually returned the dress and they are ordering it for me in white.  I'm sure the Ivory is better for my complexion.  But I have been worried about this since day one.  I feel so much better now that I exchanged it.  I can't believe David's Bridal actually allowed me to do it.  But I am much happier.
