For those that did a reveal...

If you did a reveal, did you have the videographer video it or just take pictures?Even if you didn't do one, what is your opinion? would you have pictures and video of it or just pictures?

Apple, FI and I just had this discussion this weekend.  I voted for video and he said no, he wanted it to be private (well, except for Lynn!).  So we are not doing video, just pictures.  He is uncomfortable with video period, although we did just get it for the ceremony.

Yeah I'm not sure I would watch it...not sure how comfortable I will be either...I don't know...and I already know what David will say...I don't care, whatever you want. Gee thanks! hahaThanks for the opinion!

I love reveals.  I think it should just be the photographer and you two.  It is more intimate that way, and you won't feel like you are putting on a show.

Thanks Jess! I didn't even think of having the videographer there til Adam mentioned it...I am liking the idea of just the two of us and the photographer :)

We are doing a reveal but aren't having a videographer at all.  However my vote is with video.Watching Allison's (BalletBrides) video reveal was awesome because video caught things that the pictures didn't catch and it was neat to watch TJ run down to her- that wouldn't have been caught exactly if it wasn't for video. But Stephie (and Ben) have a good point about privacy but it'll be caught one way or another so why not get everything you can!

I'm pretty sure Mandy had Adam there when she did her reveal and I thought it was so awesome to see the footage when I watched her video.  Really sweet and caught some of the emotion that photos can't capture.

I really wanted to videotape ours--but I can also see FI's point so I'm happy to honor his wish that we don't.

I think having the videographer there, too, would be fine. If the photographer won't be intrusive, why would the videographer? I wouldn't think you'd notice either of them.

Definitely both but no one else. I didn;t notice either and I had two photo shooters- on at top of stairs and one at bottom and videographer at bottom. If you don't want the video shared later you can have him ddit it out of your footage but you would at least have the option. I did ask that everyone else not be around though.

I only had eyes for my husband-to-be, and there were 3 photographers and a videographer and somehow my parents were peeking, too. My video is AMAZING, and I get compliments on it all the time, so obviously I'm a cheerleader for having both there. :)

Hmmmmm....Thanks for the other side! Now I am leaning towards doing it. HAHA! Guess I'll make David make that decision so I don't have to. I mean that's the point of getting married right? ;)

Hee, I tried to talk FI into it again last night.  He woke up this morning from a wedding nightmare--part of it involved falling off the terrace but the other part was he said every time he looked from side to side, there was a huge video camera in his face. So, I guess I better drop it, heh.

haha awwwYou could tell the videographer to hide where FI can't see him. That way he'll never know! :p
