Question for Sig Dessert Brides

Hello again everyone! I am coming into Pittsburgh this weekend for FI's nephews confirmation and we are also doing a cake tasting at Signature Desserts. I have to call them sometime this week with two filling flavors that we would like to taste. The problem is there are way too many that sound wonderful to FI and I! So, anyone who had cake from Signature Desserts - what filling did you have and/or taste test? Thanks!

no need to stress! pick 2 to taste, and let them know which others you want to try. what they will do is make a cake with your choice of 2 fillings, half & half. after that they will put the other fillings on a plate and bring it in. they will cut out little pieces of the cake to put with the other fillings, so you'll get to try those others. we tried the tiramasu & the white choc ghiradelli with choc chips. we didn't like the consistency of the latter, and ultimately chose the former for our cake filling (to be paired with a layer of choc ganache as well). however, if it had been up to me i would have chosen the almond bavarian cherry filling. it was amazing! but FI wasn't big on it, so i shut my mouth and let him have his way. it was the one thing he had a real opinion on, so i figured he deserved to have his way with something.

have fun!! i have a meeting at signature desserts this weekend also, to finalize our order! i'll be there at 4pm. when are you meeting with them? ps: be prepared for the wife to talk your ear off about everything! she tried to plan our HM, kept giving us brochures...she wouldn't stop! haha. i ate all the sample cookies while she talked!

Thanks for all the insider info! We will be there around noon, although I might call to try to change it to 10am so we can watch or go to the Pitt game. I'm glad we won't have to limit our selections! Well it sounds like she cares at least about everything involved!

she does! she is super nice, so is her husband!! they def don't limit you, they just only put 2 fillings in to an actual cake. i didn't need the cake to enjoy the fillings!! have fun at the tasting!! yummm!

I think I tried the Tiramisu and the Bailey's (is that an option?!). It was a long time so I don't really remember. It ended up not making a difference for us though, because we decided to go with carrot cake. It was really delicious, and I am so glad we did it!

We tried the same as jbean. We went with the tiramisu filling and got so many compliments on it. It's not overly coffee flavored, it's just delicious!
