  there was a post asking the same question yesterday.  also, if you go to the dmv website, it tells you what is needed.

  I brought my old license, marriage certificate and passport. I did it in the wrong order and did my SS after my license but didn't have a problem.

  holy fukc, has anyone ever heard of google? Dmv website? no? crickets? I'm all alone in my googleness?

  Thanks for the help Irene.  Unfortunately I have an out of state license and don't have my passport, as it is at the Israeli consulate until next week.  I don't have time to go back to MA before we move internationally so I not only need a name change but I need to get a NJ license too--I'm thinking I'm SOL :(Erika--mind linking the post you mentioned?  I couldn't find it.

  Yeah thanks Sin, problem is that google didn't help with my particular situation and the DMV people kept me on hold...so I thought people on here might be helpful.  Guess I was wrong!

  http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/pdf/Licenses/ident_ver_posterpint.pdf  and you will also need your marriage license to confirm your marriage.

  If you have your 6 points, even with an out of state license, and your marriage certificate you will be fine at DMV. If your out of state license is expired you may have to take the test but that depends on how long it was expired.
