NWR: Cell Phone Service?

Hi ladies! I'm a soon to be Boston Knottie (moving there next month!), and FI and I are looking to sign up for a joint cell phone service plan. Can anyone make any recommendations as far as what service you like, and how the reception is in and around the outskirts of Boston? Thanks so much! I'm excited to get to know you all! :)

I have Verizon, have had them for years and I have never had an issue with service etc... In my opinion they are one of the best carriers. GL!

Ditto on Verizon. My FI had AT&T and switched because he didn't get very solid coverage in the burbs. Welcome!

Welcome to Boston!  :) I have AT&T and am not a fan--I live & work in the suburbs and think service can be terrible in some areas.  I think Verizon is the best for this area.
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

You've got another Verizon fan here. I've had AT&T, TMobile and Sprint and I have found Verizon to be the best. I've never had a problem with service or a phone.

I also have verizon.  I had 1 problem with them. The puppy got ahold of my phone and they were giving me hassle about replacing it even though I had the insurance plan. I called costumer service and complained and they gave me a newer phone at no charge.

Bucking the trend here, I guess, but I'm a T-mobile girl. I've never had any problems with coverage and their prices are really competitive.

Verizon all the way... I had 2 phone issues within the past 3 years and after writing a letter to them each time they replaced the phones and had great customer service. it was the phones that stunk not the service at all!! plus they have great deals.. i called today and they offered to bundle my cells and my cable, internet and house phone for $10 cheaper very nice!!

Wow, what an overwhelming response for Verizon! Thanks for all the input and warm welcomes, ladies! FI was thinking about getting AT&T because he had one bad customer service experience with his phone contract and Verizon (he's military). I told him that it was probably just one bad representative, but I guess it might take some swaying. Maybe I'll show him this thread. :D

JBs -- I've had T-mobile, and around my hometown the service was terrible. :( I might stay away from them since I don't want to have problems while home visiting the family. Thank you though!

Another vote for Verizon here - It's the only way to go :) Too bad they don't have the iphone...

I had sprint and I hated it out here. (I've lived here a little over a year, moved from Ohio). My contract expired last month and I switched to DH's AT&T plan, and so far no problems. he's never had any issues either. (He has an iPhone, so we don't have much choice on plans right now).

tiffspff -- I'm an Ohioan too! What part are you from?! Thank you much again ladies. :)

I guess I am the only sprint lover.  I have had them for 10+ years and love them!!!  There phones are a bit more pricey...but I love the service!
