AND it's yummy...gourmet foodies, avert your eyes1 bag white chocolate chips2 cans fudge frosting1 small bag chopped walnutspinch shredded toasted coconutmelt first 2 ingredients. pour into a 9 1/2 by 11 baking sheet (greased). Put ingredients 2 and 3 on top.Refrigerate overnight.cut and enjoy!PS you can experiment with ingredients 1 and 2. I'm going to try peanut butter chips next time.

Re: So, it's been a heavy day

  • It's really just cruel to post this late at night when all of the stores are closed and I have not one of those ingredients in my pantry.

  • I cant cook... I'll have to stick with leftover Halloween candy ;)

  • I apologize for the lateness. Not meant to be cruel. But seriously, in the morning go to the store. No cooking, just melting. Easy peasy.Although there is a lot of stirring. But if I can do it, you can.
  • No worries, just teasing. :) My stomach, however, is not amused, as there is still no fudge here.

  • Yum! Peanutbutter oatmeal cookies will just have to do as I have none of the above either.
  • I knew you were teasing, but you wouldn't know it (damm text without any intonation) Tell you're tummy that there is fudge coming soon, without all the baking nonsense. hehe.Any fave recipes to share? I love to cook but hate to bake.
  • mmm peanut butter oatmeal. No raisins, right? FI grew up on a raisin farm and is an enologist. He loves raisins but I hate 'em
  • No raisins. T wouldn't allow it. They're quite good.I'm opposite of you, I love to bake and don't care for cooking (I'm just not super experienced in the cooking)
  • thank you! from someone who always screws up the desserts... i think i actually might be able to pull this one off!
  • Isn't that funny?I think most people are one or the other; baking or cooking.Kinda like the english or math brain.Totally stereotyping, but, ya know.
  • I've got the english brain, hands down.
  • Dammit ladies, you are killing me with the treats talk. I used to bake more than cook, and now I've swung in the other direction. I only bake a few things now, but I've perfected them and they take forever but are worth it. I like cooking more than baking because your measurements have to be so precise with baking, and you can't taste and season as you go.

  • sooles, I promise it's fool-proof.And did I mention the yummyness? (it's a word... right?)Make sure to get fudge frosting instead of milk chocolate though.
  • me too with the english brain, btw.Although I can't spell to save my life.
  • Pinotbride, I like your siggy quote. That's coming from my English brain. ;)

  • its true. i cant bake worth crap, even following directions on a cake box. but i can pretty much take any food and do nothing to it and make it taste like magic.so... someone come make me a cake...
  • Sooles- what kind of cake would you like?Seriously, I love baking the problem is I can never eat it all and T always makes me get rid of it so he's not tempted to stray from his diet.
  • Thank you, beatles!I doubt a math brain could appreciate it. I keed, I keed!
  • Sorry, this is going to mess up the font, but this is my Ultimate Banana Bread recipe, since the floor was opened to share:*It's loaded with bananas, sugar, and white flour, but it's totally worth it if you like banana bread and just gets better the longer it sits.2 sticks margarine2 cups sugar 4 eggs 4 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp. Baking soda 1-½ tsp. Salt 8 large ripe bananas, mashed 2-½ tsp. Vanilla 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped ½ to 1-cup milk for mixing Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 9 X 13 metal pan. Melt margarine, then add sugar and mix well. Add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. In separate bowl, mix together flour, soda, salt. Add dry ingredients to margarine mixture, mixing well. If batter is too dry, add milk a tablespoonful at a time. Fold in bananas and walnuts. Pour into greased pan. Bake 1 hour and 20 - 30 minutes, checking in several places after 1 hour and 20 minutes. Toothpick should come out clean and top of bread should be toasty brown all over.
