Re: Soda

  • I dont drink soda anyways. I have always found the arguement "but its diet!!" laughable, so this just reinforces it. Im far happier drinking water than some sugary mess.
  • Also, I remember hearing somewhere that no-cal sweeteners actually make you eat more sweets, because your body expects calories when it gets the sweet taste, and when you don't get them, it makes you eat more?Kinda makes sense.I guess it's time to say buh-bye to the diet stuff.  Soda water with lime/lemon it is.

  • Has anyone seen anything saying it's bad to drink seltzer? I've switched from diet soda to seltzer and want to make sure it's ok. I know I could drink plain water, but I really like the carbonation and flavor. I just wanted to get away from the artificial sweeteners.
  • You just need to be aware of the sodium levels.  Some soda waters have higher sodium levels (the cheap stuff).  Things like Perrier are better.

  • Thanks for the article! I am sending this to my DH RIGHTaway! I am highly allergic to artifical sweetners and he isalways drinking diet stuff and then he won't kiss me forhours because he is afraid of getting me sick. Darn diet drinks!
  • Try La Croix flavored water. Its sparkling water flavored with either, berry, lime, lemon, cran-raspberry, or orange. PLUS no sodium, or artificial flavors! It comes in cases of 12 i think. I crave carbonation so this is my fix instead of sodas.
