Greek Islands, Parthenon, or Costa's?

Hi Knotties,Does anyone have any feedback about these restaurants for a wedding reception?  We have so many friends & family who love to dance but we are only teachers so not a lot of money for the reception. We're trying to find a good reception place in the city so we're investigating the restaurants &  banquet halls which would be good for the main purpose: bringing everyone together, dancing, & just having fun! Thanks for the suggestions from my previous post too.

I haven't been to a wedding in any of the restaurants, only lunches or dinner - my favorite is the Parthenon!  We are having our rehearsal dinner there and they have been super nice and easy to work with.  Good luck in the search!

Do you think the Parthenon would be good for a wedding reception?  We want a place with good food, but also with good space for dancing for about 180 guest. Please give me your HONEST opinion. Thanks!!

Hello, try Venus it is in Greektown too.... I think they hold around 180. The food is good and the space is open meaning tall ceilings. Free Valet.. Good Luck...

I have no experience with wedding receptions at Greek Rests. but I have eaten with large groups at Greek rests. Greek Islands has good food and GREAT service, they always have great service in Greek Restaurants. I actually just met the owner of Venus today at lunch. He just opened a new restaurant in my neck of the woods in Aurora. The food was great and we chatted about his place in the city. I would say having your reception at a Greek Restaurant is a very safe bet!!!
