Things that annoy you

Re: Things that annoy you

  • Yesterday I was driving on the highway and someone was driving 10 to 15 miles under the speed limit in the left hand land. He was backing up the whole highway, damn old people are the worst drivers. I trust a 16 year old over these old people who cannot see or drive but think they cannot. They need their licenses taken away and my grandma is one of them. I gotten to the point I refuse to ride in the car with her and she will not let anyone drive for her cause she says she can drive just fine. She almost gets into a accident every time she gets into the car and has other times.
  • People (mostly women) who stand in front of the subway turnstiles blocking them while they are looking for their metrocard.  What happened?  Subway just snuck up on you and you were so surprised you forgot that other people need to get through the turnstiles too? Also, I've been trying to meet with our head of HR since I got back from my HM (3 weeks ago) and it still hasn't happened.
  • What's annoying me today is that I bought U2 tickets on Monday for $52 each and the same tickets for Bon Jovi (that went on sale today) are $1,875. WTF Bon Jovi, WTF?Yep... That is a huge WTF?  I would like to see Bon Jovi and all, but not for that kind of money.

  • Oh I have another one.  My dog keeps nudging open the blinds to see what's outside and the sun is so bright in my eyes!  Didn't she ever hear that curiosity killed the dog.
  • My office is also freezing.  I'm also annoyed that every day after I eat lunch, my body starts shivering and my teeth chattering because I'm so cold.  I don't know what my lunch does to me, but it sucks. Also annoying--there is no good place in my office to put the phone.  Currently I have to get up and walk to answer it, or roll my wheely chair a good 5 or 6 feet.  I tried moving it to my desk, but then I'm always tripping over the stupid phone cord.  I tried moving it to the other part of my desk but I can't because the printer is in the way.  Apparently there is some sort of department here that will make sure your office is ergonomically pleasing.  I kind of want to consult them but I think people would find me douchey if I did so I'm refraining.Oh,  ALSO, I am annoyed by my boss who wants to reorder my business cards to put Esq. after my name.  I think that's kind of douchey too and I would laugh at someone who did that.

  • Or people who SLAM on their breaks when a light turns yellowThis too!! Some fool did that this morning and I just ended up driving on the shoulder and passing them so I didn't hit them. That may have been partially my fault though since I was going about 10 over the speed limit :)

  • Lynda, I haven't had one bleed.  But, when I was 12 or 13, we went on family vacation to Disney & mom bought me a new swim suit.  We found out once we were AT the water park that the back of it was insufficiently lined & you could see straight through it once it got wet.  I've still not fully recovered from that.

  • Call whoever and tell them what's going on. Tell them you sent the shipper an email but they don't provide a phone number. Ask them to hold the package if it comes to that. Waiting an extra day is better than having them ship it back and then ship it to Canadaland again. Stupid poopy faces. Maybe your address is just too long to fit on the shipping status?

  • Tida - sorry about your teefers! That must suck. Thanks caco - it does suck becuase I just had a root canal done on this tooth and cost me a bajillion dollars and now it's breaking.  The dentist told me the tooth would be become brittle and that I should get a crown, but I just couldn't afford it.The good thing is that since there are no nerves left from the root canal, the tooth doesn't hurt, just where it's rubbing on my tongue does.
  • mfing usps. They cant change whats in the system and cant confirm for me that my address is incomplete or not, it is private (ITS MY ADDRESS!!!) and they cant discuss it. The only thing that can be done is the shipper can contact them 7 days after it has been shipped... so basically theres no chance in hell i am going to get my damn stamps in time to make my christmas cards.
  • oh no squirrly... That had to have been traumatic for a 13 year old..All you people will driving annoyances would hate it down here.  Not only do we drive on the left.  The locals just randomly stop in the middle of the road to drop off/pick up someone  or my favorite just stop to say hello.  Luckily we only drive 30 mphs.  I do not think my old car even saw 4 gear.

  • I'm annoyed having to repeat something10+ times for someone to understand.  And it's something as simple as the new forms go in the front of the file.  Seriously, you're 45 and a college grad, it's not that hard.

  • I'm annoyed that our insurance coverage changed.  So now I can't go to the doctor until January or it's going to cost us a buttload of money.
  • People who use a million words to say something really simple.People who don't pick up their feet when they walk. Stupid people.People who use very poor grammar in professional situations.
  • *deep breath* if you say it will be ok, I will trust you. and I am negative, so there :P Im not even ready to use the stamps, I just want to have them!
  • Lynda, how did you guys end up driving on the left?  i though it was only the UK, Japan and OZ.

  • You crack me up :) It would be faster for you to drive to Nebraska and use MY stamps. Just sayin' Another annoying thing: my right had is freezing, my left hand is comfortable.

  • It WOULD be faster if I just drove there, thats my back up plan.
  • People who call me at work to get a phone number for someone else, and then say "oh, wait wait wait!! Let me get a pen and paper!" when I have the number at hand. Why the hell did you call for a number and then not have anything to take it down with?!
  • aMrsin09 - Not sure if this is the real reason, but I was told that the donkey always walked on the left side of the trail.  Once cars started to be introduced the donkeys would not move to the right, so the cars just flowed suit. All of our cars come from the states.  So the drivers side is still on the left.Others say it's because you can see the side of the road better driving on the left.  Our roads are pretty windy with steep drop offs.

  • Salesmen.  One just came into the office as the epitome of a salesman... strong cologne, super cheesy smile, really pushy.  He just gave me that feeling that he would only hire young girls as assistants and flirt like crazy to get his way.  Ugh.
  • Nebb - It was the shipper's fault right?  Can you call the company and have them ship you a new set?  We do that at the company I work for if we made the mistake and usually just ask you to refuse the other package if it ever gets to you.  I always hate that USPS does that.  They really aren't helpful at all.  UPS you can't change an address until delivery has been attempted once.  It's like, what good does that do?

  • Snshne - the confirmation email I got after placing my order has my correct address, but the usps shipping notification does not. I cant call the company though because they have no phone number listed - I have emailed twice though.
  • Ugh, how frustrating.  Not having a phone number is baffling to me.  I hope they get back to you!

  • Vogt, I would swear that was my dad driving in front of you this morning. He drives. me. crazy. when I'm in the car with him. He actually caused an accident on the interstate last week with that bullshit, though he will never admit it.
