Favorite card game:   Oh man, I loved all the drinking card games from the college era (even though that was like 10 years ago now...lol): "Up the River, Down the River", "@$$hole"....for non drinking card games, I like Solitaire (on the computer, though - easier).

What do you order at Jamba Juice?  We don't have one in CT so I can only get it when we're in NYC but I got a pumpkin blend this past October that was really good!

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: How it has the power to make what are probably otherwise very nice girls turn into raving lunatics...
The Bump ate my signature. DD - Apr 2011 DS - expected June 2013
  • Favorite card game:   Spades.  Man, can I rock some spades.

What do you order at Jamba Juice?  Never been.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you:  The ability of a wedding to bring out the worst in people.
Holy Crap. We survived the first year!

  • Favorite card game: I don't know if I have one now. In college definitely Texas Hold 'Em, even though I was never any good.

What do you order at Jamba Juice? Anything without banana. I do not like it.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: The obsession over wording for all the paper goods. I mean sure, I get that you want to follow etiquette, and some situations (divorced parents, mixed gender WPs, etc) are a little less common, so you might need help thinking of how to say it, but I know people who have gone crazy over stuff like whether to say "followed by a reception" or "a reception will follow". No one cares.

Favorite card game: Ring of Fire it's a drinking game. Non-drinking game, either Hearts or Texas Hold'Em

What do you order at Jamba Juice? The pomegranate thinger

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: Oof. How people somehow think that etiquette doesn't apply to their wedding. Also, I am currently really confused by flowers. It's going to be a traumatic next pick. Also, how everyone we have ever met thinks they are somehow invited?
  • Card Game? Bull Shi# or Go Fish...I don't play a lot of cards though.

Jamba Juice? We don't have a Jamba Juice here. I'm not even sure we have one in South Carolina period.

Weddings? Wording on invitations, Save the dates, etc. My reasons are the same as Emily's

    Favorite card game:
    Computer- Solitaire or Free Cell
Actual Cards- War (Battle).. or Bull Sh*t (thanks suz for the reminder)
What do you order at Jamba Juice?
I havent been in years, so nothing. I'd really rather chew my calories than drink them. It helps me control my intake.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: Everything!! Mostly how caught up in the details people get, and how one can prepare more for the wedding than they do for marriage itself.

  • Favorite card game:
Spades or any kind of poker.  I love cards.

What do you order at Jamba Juice?
We don't have one.  Rednecks don't drink juice.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you:
I don't get how wrapped up in tiny details people get.  Like, there's a girl on another board upset about her FMIL's dress.  I don't think I even knew what my MIL was going to wear ahead of time.  Or wanting everyone to wear a certain color or whatever.  The big stuff was hard enough.

  • Favorite card game: Knock, Texas Hold 'Em, 7 Card No Peek, 5 Card Stud, well, pretty much anything, although I will never play 52 Card Pick Up. I've fallen for that one too many times.

What do you order at Jamba Juice? *gasp* I'm so uncultured. I don't even know what Jamba Juice is.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: I'm confused by the general attitude of something optional has to happen in order for the wedding/reception to be "right." Ex: Bouquet/garter tosses

  • Favorite card game: Kings and ratscrew.

What do you order at Jamba Juice? I have never seen one.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: The need for fancy schmancy invites with pocket folds and 10 zillion inserts and tons of graphics and ribbon that require way too much postage, time and effort.
  • Card Game: Euchre
    Jamba Juice: Never had it
Confusion: How it can really turn very nice ppl into horrible ppl.
  • Favorite card game:
    Egyptian War or Hold Em

What do you order at Jamba Juice?
Coldbuster.  Though we don't have that here, so I have to get it when I go home to visit.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you:
I'm not in the process of planning, but I don't understand why people feel the need to "thank" their guests with useless favors and not give them alcohol or a decent meal.
dont make ur password so easy. gbck2CA2 hahahaha
  • Favorite card game: Gin, or solitaire if I'm being antisocial.

What do you order at Jamba Juice? Never been there.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: Why everyone hearing the word "wedding" turns into a lunatic.
  • Favorite card game:   Free Cell. noone ever wants to play card with me.

What do you order at Jamba Juice?  i don't think i've ever seen one...

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: Why everyone gets all worked up. Maybe i'll start getting worked up when it gets closer? Am I missing something?
  • Favorite card game:
Woot.  I just learned this game a little over a year ago and me and my friends get very competitive.

What do you order at Jamba Juice?
I'm a big fan of the Coldbuster.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you:
Why some people feel it's necessary to be princesses for their wedding.  I never got that concept.  I wanted to be ME on my wedding day, not some fake version of me.

Ignorance is a poor defense. Image and video hosting by TinyPic
  • Favorite card game:  Hearts, I guess.  I don't play cards much.

What do you order at Jamba Juice?  I don't go very often, but I usually get the Coldbuster.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you:  Why everyone has all these opinions about how it MUST go.  I understand not offending people, but when I told my sister there wasn't going to be a dance floor, she acted like I'd just shot her puppy.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Favorite card game:  Euchre or Egyptian Rat Screw...also a big fan of drinking card games, especially Kings.  FI tried to teach me some horrible game called Hand and Foot...and I refuse to play it anymore because I swore he was just making up rules.

What do you order at Jamba Juice?  Never been to one, but I do like Smoothie King if that's similar.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you:  How everyone can think they have a super unique situation that excuses them from etiquette or the ability to think or act like a decent human being.

And the whole stationary/invitation thing.  I'm months away from even thinking about them, but I'm sure I'm going to forget some major detail.  Like, get everything on there, send them out, and realize I forgot what time the ceremony starts or something.
  • Favorite card game: spades

What do you order at Jamba Juice? never been to one

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: a zillion inserts with the invitations
  • Favorite card game: Munchkin Booty. If were talking "regular" cards probably  War (Or "Beat The Pants Off The Old Man" as my great-grandpa dubbed it when I was little, lol)

What do you order at Jamba Juice? Never been ...  I don't even think we have one around here.

Something about wedding planning that confuses you: Why everbody thinks it's "so hard", and that they need people to "support" them during that time ... and why they're so tempted to "just say 'screw it' and elope" halfway through the planning process. Am I really the only person that had a formal wedding that never felt overwhelmed by the actual planning?
